    Hello all,

We will be Cruising with you all over Thanksgiving. This will be our first Cruise.

We will be Cruising as a Family: Myself, My Wife, 18yr Son, 14yr Daughter, and 9yr Son.

We will be doing the Pirate ship in Cayman, and then Beaching it and shopping the rest of the day.

We have not planned anything for Roaton

I am thinking the Cave tubing in Belize

Renting a Jeep or car in Cozamel and driving around the Island.

We are really looking forward to this trip it should AWSOME !!!!! From everything I have heard and read.

See you all on the Ship

    Kirk

First off ............ Welcome Kirk, I thank you and your wife thanks you for not making her cook the Turkey this year.

We are looking forward to this trip too, believe me when I say each day we get giddier and giddier.  Bouncing off the walls would be a better way to say it.

As for the countdown clicker thingy ............. click the link link under mine that says "myspace countdown clocks" and follow the directions to pick out the background, when you leave, what you want it to say ..... when you are done, copy and paste it into the "edit tags" section underneath your post.

     Hope that helps.

    Hi Sue,

Has your Son been on Cruise's before? My Son turns 18 in 2 weeks. So he will be 18 on the cruise and just wondering if they will still let him hang in the older kids club if he even wants to? and what he will be doing? My little guy 8 turns 9 two days after we get back should have a great time in the kids club. My Daughter 14 turns 15 in Jan Well who knows what she will want to do LOL Big Smile ( I give up on teenage girls) Just looking for your thoughts since this is our first cruise

    Thanks

    Hi Kirk,

I took him last year in October for his 16th birthday (he had been left behind the two other cruises), he had a blast, and needless to say we won't be able to leave him behind anymore.  He was always in the Club O2 (for the older teens), and I was sitting all alone......... not so fun on my side LOL.  He turns 17 on this Friday.

From everything I have read on these forums, your son will not be able to hang out in O2.  I asked my son and he told me how they challenged someone last year trying to sign up as they had just turned 18 as well.  So he will have to find alternative FUN.  Not to worry even though he is 18 and considered an adult he will still not be served in the bar and the casino is iffy.

Sorry about the teenage girl thing ya got going on there, I can actually say I was blessed with all boys (oldest is active duty Navy and will turn 27 in December, middle son is Medically retired from the Army, moved home here a year ago and just recently moved back to Connecticut to start school in January, he just turned 24 this month, and the youngest is like I said turning 17 on Friday).

I am just getting soooooo excited, had a slight setback the other day (as in not sure if hubs is making the cruise) so still praying that things are going to work themselves out just fine.

    Hello,

We will be joining you all in November.  We are very excited as this is the first cruise daddy is joining us.  Usually it is myself and the kids getting away but daddy stays home.  My husband and I are 38 we have 16 year old twin boys, an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl.

I am looking at the cave tubing....I really want to see the Mayan  Ruins this trip any suggestions??

    Sue,

Thanks for the info, From everything I have read he can gamble in the casinos as Princess is the only cruise line that is 21 and older for gambling. But I won't be funding that one. lol

I am wondering about the night clubs at night, if he is not drinking Maybe they will let him in if he is with us?

We will have to see, one way or another we will have fun and I am known for making my own fun if none is to be found Big Smile lol

BTW what is up with all the Monkey Head things on everyones sigs?

    Kirk

The monkey heads are made out of a Coconut  and carved to represent a "monkeys head" they have a drink well in the center that holds a small plastic cup.  They sometimes offer the "drink of the day" in said holder, the top is hollowed out and has a hole for the drink straw.  It is more of a "I cruised on Carnival and I paid $14.95 (give or take) for the drink of the day and I am now a monkey head owner" ..... its cute, it can be used as a bank, or gadget collector, I actually have the loose pens and pencils all in one spot now.  Believe it or not, it was my husband that bought one, not me, and I am the spender of the two LOL.

    Hi Jolene,

I bet you are as giddy as the rest of us ......... Wooohooo 4 weeks and we are sailing.

Glad you can do the family thing this time, I did only one of the three so far with me and my son and I was bored silly.  I knew absolutely no one onboard except my tablemates, so I got to talk to someone then, but for the rest of it I was on my own.  We are planning to all go, but got the rug pulled out from us (or should I said the wind pulled out of our sails) the other night with the "possibility" of the hubs not being able to go.  We are crossing our fingers and waiting until the eleventh hour in hopes that it all works out, but I have two co-workers and my mom ready to step in and take his spot if need be.

If your boys are going to be in Club O2 I am sure that they will meet my son.  he is counting down the days on two things ....... the cruise and his birthday this friday.

In Belize we are doing the cave tubing with Major Tom, we were gonna do the Mayan Ruins but when I found the site for the cave tubing it was a done deal.

Where have you cruised to before and what excursions have you already done?

    Talk soon,

    Sue

I was in Cozumel this past July.....We just went off on our own walking around shopping.  Other than that I have only been to the Bahamas and Jamaica.  I have never been one to book excursions through a ship or resort...I like to do my own thing.  I think we are going to to do the major Tom Tubing and then maybe the ruins in Cozumel.  I see you are down in Daytona...I am up in Palm Coast.  We are thinking about doing the sting rays in Grand Cayman. I can not wait....a Thanksgiving with NO COOKING and NO CHRISTMAS SHOPPING ....WOO HOO!!

I hear ya on the not cooking thing.  Thats too funny that you are right up the street so to speak.  I am actually in Port Orange but I work in Ormond Beach, small world.  We will definetly meet up on the ship between Major Tom and the boys being in O2.

Been to Nassau (x2) Cozumel (1) and Progresso (1) so this cruise here has three places I have never been.

    20 more work days :o)
