Hi Arthur yes there is a lot of birthdays this trip.  I usually travel in December to celebrate mine but I am trying January it was cheaper in January than in December.

Hello fellow cruisers

This will be our 5th Carnival cruise - 4th Eastern Caribbean.  We love St.Thomas and St. Maarten. Taking dear daughter and her best friend for their 16th birthdays - their birthdays are just a few days apart.  Celebrating our anniversary too!  Gonna be alot of fun going on this cruise!  We have a balcony room on 8 and putting the girls across the hall from us in an inside room.  They are sooo excited and  already packed I think  lol.   We are driving down on Friday the 15th and staying at The Radisson.  Stayed there before every cruise and always gotten great service and a great room.   We are gonna hit Senor Frogs in Nassau, going to Sapphire Beach in St.Thomas for the day and then to Marigot and Orient Beach in St.Maarten.    Counting down the days ya'll!

Hi, KansasGirl....Are you all driving down?  We are driving down to port the day before. It will be an 8 hour drive for us.  I'm so ready!!

Desiree, I have some questions since you've done this so many times.  Is the shopping really all that great in St. Thomas?  And what restaurant would you suggest there?  One last question....have you taken a ferry from St. Thomas to St. John before?  We are driving down the night before hopefully.  We live just outside of Mobile, AL

Queen of Kings.... Road trips are awesome! However, it would take close to 20 hrs for us to drive one way.  So we will be flying out of KC the day before.  Hopefully enjoy a little of Florida fun for the day.  We are so excited.  Since our group is considerably smaller this time we are hoping to meet new people this time around.  We haven't had the opportunity to sit at a table during dinner when we didn't already know our neighbor.   The family that we are going with this time has a couple in there 60's, 50's and 20's.  My goal this time is to meet new people and engage more in the various cruise activities.  My hubby on the other hand just wants to find a deck chair and the DOD and tune out everything. ( not that there is anything wrong with that )

KansasGirl....We are all in our 30's.  My friend and I like to see what's happening on the ship....however the men in our group are more like your husband.  They just want to have a relaxing vacation.  Hope you all have a great flight and hope to see you onboard.

Hey guys, Its funny how one thread could be soo much more active then another, I started one for the 9th also becuase we are sailing both dates and nobody wants to tlak to me there hahahah, Any ways, we have a group 5 going so far, 3 single guys, 26, 31, and 57, and then a married couple...anyways i am so counting down the days, I think this ship is going to be absolutely incredible, and its my first time to the caribbean and cant wait. we are from Nevada, and Utah...

My hubby and I are in our mid-30's.  I'm so excited. We've had this booked since the first of February so it has feels like it is taking an eternity to get here.  When my hubby gets finished with his sunbathing and DOD coma you will probably find us in the Club.  You will know us when you see him bust out his dance moves in the middle of group of strangers on the dance floor. You might even catch us plugging the slots.

I'm still trying to figure these boards out.  LOL  You are going to LOVE the Caribbean!! St. Thomas and St. Maarten are beautiful.  This is my first trip to the Bahamas though.
