Hello, just made the final payment tonight through Vacations to Go, and all we have to wait is for a 72 hour confirmation from Carnival.

 Duane Congratulations!!!! We are under 80 days now and I feel like a small child waiting for Christmas morning.Speaking of Christmas we will be flying in on Sat to experience Dickens on the Strand. All of this should put us in a wonderful holiday spirit for the cruise.

Sounds like a plan.  Looks like there will be a few of us celebrating birthdays on this cruise.  My boyfriends b-day is the end of December, so he wants in on the goodies too. 

Seafoam please explain what door decorations are. We cannot remember seeing anything of this sort on our previous cruise. Sounds like fun though. Please explain.

 Good morning Drover - Every Carnival cruise I put up party lights and foam parrots for our room/balconey and window. Cruising in Dec of course its christmas lights and island theme. We usually hold a bon voyage party in our room with all our friends who are cruising.

On one of the other threads someone had decorated their door in the monkeyhead theme. Since we took the monkeyhead oath and my decorations are done for room - now I have monkeyhead decorations for our door. It is just one more way to celebrate my favorite time of year and blessing of such good friends/family to vacation with.

Morning Seafoam;  Read your piece concerning smoking. I agree.  At 1 time, we visited the casinos in Louisiana about once a month, and then stopped, because of the smoking. We were sick afterwards, and gave it up visiting Louisiana casinos.  Be as it may be, we will try the ship casino, and hope for the best.  John

 Good morning everyone: Only 70 days left and it seems like the closer we get the busier I get with work etc.  I pulled my large suitcase out of the attic this week and have started putting in those things I will need for cruise, but not till then. All those small travel size what evers and power strips and room decorations etc... 

What can I say I am a CRUISE ADDICT and just a little PUPULE (hawaiian for crazy)

I just got word yesterday that one of our friends, who we thought was not going to make cruise, is in fact paid for and coming. This was the best news for all of us (he is dealing with cancer and has been a bit under the weather). We all know the perfect cure for that is the covered pool and a comfy lounge chair!

Now I have to get some shore excursions reserved and paid for. Perhaps another garage sale is in order.

 

Good morning; we have not started packing yet. We have a guaranted cabin, and were told to wait21 days before registering. Tickets are bought and paid for. Perhaps we will have a better cabin, could be anywhere on the ship. A regular cabin, would be fine, because I will be out most of the time. Don't plan on any excursions through Carnival this time. Probably Doctor Cave's cove beach, Jamaica, and possible tour of brewery in Cayman Islands and the beach. Last time, we went to Cozumel found an out of the way restaurant and beach at the end of the island through a cab driver. A red fish for dinner, that covered the plate. That's all for now, John

Hey everyone, I am Terri, my Husband is John and we will be on this cruise with you. I will also be having a birthday on this cruise (Dec. 12). I will be turning 43. Also we will celebrate our 3rd anniversary. (It's actually Dec 16). Looking forward to a great cruise!

 Hi Lorri - it has been awhile. Glad to hear you will be with us too.

There are SO many birthdays and anniversarys, it would be great to all meet up and toast the occasions. One of the couples in our group will be celebrating their 35th anniversary and we will also be celebrating a birthday a wee bit early (since we won't be together for the actual day after we get back)

Looked at my passport the other day and discovered that it had expired recently. So yesterday I ran into the local office to get it rush ordered  I know we have a little tme yet, but with Uncle Sam I don't take chances stuff happens. So I paid the extra $60 to get it expediated. 

Now I just have to commit to exercising everyday to get this 20 lbs off so at least one thigh will fit in my bathingsuit. lol It also gives me a chance to eat a few melting cakes guilt free on our cruise

We still have not figured out our excursions though. There has been much talk about a tequilla tour of Cozamel.  7 days on a ship in the beautiful caribbean and this is what they came up with -a sure fire hangover. Snorkling ofr one please (really lol)
