    What about buses in Grand Cayman?

    Are buses a good source of transportation in Grand Cayman? I have a family of four and we would like to go to 7 mile beach and dont want to spend a fortune on getting there. Do they run on time? We wouldnt cut it too close, we just want to go for a few hours. Would it be safe?

    There is a daily bus service which runs from 6 am until midnight depending on the route and the day of travel. Service is more regular and reliable between Seven Mile Beach and George Town than in other areas. The bus fare also depends on the route and varies between CI$1.50 to CI$3.00 or about $4 US per person.

    I found Grand Cayman to be very safe.

     The buses are safe. You may not save as much as you think, however.If interested in beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., at most beaches you will need to rent those. You can just plop down on your beach towels for free.

     I have some pictures of the bus experience on both pages here:

     {Note: there are NO facilities of any kind at Cemetery Beach - you need to bring everything with - but theree are many other beach options}
