gagirl:
Beware even with the Early Price Savers program. I followed the procedures and had the rate lowered. Then a week before sailing found an even lower price. Call and was told to complete the online form. I submitted it and did not receive a response. So, I submitted again to ensure they received it more than 2 days before sailing. No Response. Emailed after my cruise and asked for an explanation and received a reply without an explanation. Customer service seems to be nonexistent. I really feel a lack of appreciation for my business especially considering that this was our 7th cruise with Carnival and we had 3 cabins.
Did you originally book the cruise yourself (like online)??? The online form is only for use by those who booked themselves. If you booked thru any kind of agent, only that agent can submit a claim and they have their own seperate form that they must use.
Plus, the one "hitch" in the procedure is that the lower rate must still be in effect when the claim form is processed. Carnival does not go by the fare back from when the form was submitted. That's mentioned in the Early Saver fine print. It does make me wonder if that requirement would just about exclude any possibility of making a claim against those "one day" sales like the ones Carnival runs on major holidays,
