    Parking

Is it best to drop off the luggage at the ship first, then park or go to the parking lot and take the shuttle with bags to the ship?

I have already reserved parking at lighthouse.

This is our first cruise and our first time at the port in Galveston.

    Thanks

Hi tx rider another texan here    I have always parked and carried my luggage on shuttle , they will unload your luggage at terminal when they deliver you . To me its easier not having to wait in line to leave luggage then go park wait for shuttle . I have always tipped the driver and the person who takes the luggage only mention because its your first cruise  . HAVE A BLAST I AM HOOKED ON CRUISING .

Don't even drive to the pier. Go to Lighthouse first with all your passengers and luggage.  As Texas Lady stated they will shuttle you to the pier and everyone will be together.

    Re: Parking

I'll add my echo here.  I've done it both ways and it's less hassle for everyone to ride the shuttle together.  When we were unloading luggage from the car in front of the terminal last time, I ended up in the wrong place and we got hassled by the cops.  If you let them do the work, nobody gets hassled.

    Re: Parking

On this last Cruise I dropped my mom and the luggage off at the pier then took the car and parked. Seemed easier then keeping up with the luggage and getting on/off the bus. I guess it depends on how many people you have in the group. If you do drop off the luggage and others in the group make sure you know what color flag ( they have different color flags on the building) you dropped them off at so its easier to locate them when you get back. Which ever way you go people are ALL around to help! Have Fun :)
