There are four of us - two couples.  We are Canadians who spend the winter in The Villages - Florida.  Each year for the last 3 years we have been taking a Carnival cruise.  As of right now, we have 130 days to go.  This cruise is know as The Saints cruise because our 3 islands names all begin with saint.  Looking forward to the sushi, the adult pool, dining, the shows and the parties.  Also, so far, the seas at that time of year are like glass - they are so smooth.

 Awesome, we are Canadian too!  Where in Canada are you from?  We are from Saskatchewan.  This is our second cruise, our first was for our honeymoon 5 years ago.  Do you have any great suggestions for tours or things to do on the islands?  We prefer to find our own excursions rather than use carnivals.  Are you planning on going to Nick and Nora's?  Is there one formal night or two on an 8 day cruise?  Sorry to bombard you with questions but it sounds like you are pretty knowledgeable!

We too have the count down on!  Everyone laughs at me when I tell them how many days left, I just say - you obviously haven't cruised before!!

Hi,
We are all from Windsor, Ontario - AKA Canada's southernmost city.  This will be the 5th cruise for my wife and me (we had 2 cruises before retirement) and the 4th for our friends.  We also prefer to find our own excursions.  I have found Fabian's Tours in St. Lucia and Bernard's Tours in St. Maarten.  We are taking a private tour with Fabian and a bus tour with Bernard.
We are going to play the Nick and Nora's by ear once we get on the ship.  This will be our first cruise longer than a week, so we may get tired of the dining room.  There will be 2 formal nights, although we have noticed, especially with Carnival, that the formality is waning.  The first formal night should be Sunday - first full day at sea, and probably Saturday - our last full day at sea.
I am not sure if you are into wine or not, but if you enjoy wine with dinner, Carnival is offering 2 wine packages.  Check out the Carnival pages that deal with dining and there is a link to wine packages.  Very good savings and some very interesting wines to choose from.
We have also noticed that for on board shopping the last day or two offers deep discounts on most items, including spa treatments for the ladies.

What hotel are you staying at in FLL? We are staying at Spring Hill Suites by Marriott.(I am a Marriott member) I chose this hotel because they offer an airport shuttle, breakfast and shuttle to port in included.

We live about 40 minutes north of Detroit.

We are staying at a Days Inn. They offer the breakfast and shuttle also.

This is our first cruise so we are really excited.

We are also leaving on March 28th 2010, for our 6th cruise. We are travling with 3 other people, on an 8 day cruise, I belive they have only 2 formal nights, 10 days have 3, we have done both. We love to dress up, and see what other people wear, some really nice looking folks out there!!! LOL

When we get closer to the date will should give each other pointers so we can find each other at the airport gate :)

Well gang, 104 days left!!!  Amost to double digits!!  Woot woot!!  So excited!  Where is everyone staying?  We are staying at the Ramada, they have airport and cruiseport transfers!  What is everyone doing for excursions?  In St. Kitts we are torn between doing an ATV tour or a sea trek tour, in St. Martin I think we are just going to go hang out at Maho beach and watch the planes fly overhead, and in St. Lucia I think we are going to go with Cosol Tours.  Nothing is booked yet, but i'm thinking.
