roll call 11-08-09..anyone else going?

hey.......me & hubby will be on board.........our first cruise ......hoping we don't get seasick.......

This will also be our first cruise.  My husband and I never planned a cruise because he had gotten sea sick many years ago.  We heard that with the stabilizers the ships have now not as many people get sea sick.  We decided to take a 4 day cruise and if all goes well, we'll go on a 7 day cruise next year.  I can't wait for the cruise to get here...we really need a vacation!!

I'm quite sureyou will be fine.  My hubby took his first cruise with me lasts November and thought he would get sick. We went for 5 days and even with the rough seas for 1 night, neither one of us got sick.   After my hubby's first cruise, that's all he talks about.  We have our 7 day scheduled for next Nov...just can't wait.

I'll be there with my husband and daughter.

i have one question , does carnival provide life jackets for swimming pool ?

Yes they have swimmies for the kids...We also are so excited.....We are staying in the owners suite..

Carnival called us Friday to see if we wanted to upgrade to the owners suite.  It looks beautiful.  We declined since this is our first cruise and we are hoping not to be in the room too much.  I know it could be a once in a lifetime deal but.... Hopefully we won't regret not upgrading.

And I thought I was doing something fabulous booking the penthouse suite for our first cruise...lol.  I hope you have a great time; the room sure does look beautiful!

Hey! Thats what we originally booked..the penthouse suite with a connecting stateroom. Dont forget i have my 4 grandchildren cruising with us as well as my 2 daughters so i figured what the heck...I need the room to roam....This is our second cruise and cant wait....!!! Did they allow both of your rooms to upgrade to the owners suite?  With that many people in your group it was a wise decision to upgrade.

I'll try and stop by to say hello but they may not let us average Joe's up there!!  LOL

Actually we have 2 staterooms on deck level 6 and of course the owners suite...What level are you on? lol... we are average Joes !!

I just got done watching my adorable 2 week old Grandson for 4 days because his mommy was sick in the hospital.  I really need this cruise!  There's a very good reason why older women don't have babies...lol.  Right now I'm just excited that I get to sleep tonight. I can't wait for this vacation; it can't come soon enough.

I have to finish all my research that was put on hold.  Since this is your second cruise any tips you may have will be appreciated.

Totally agree with you about the reason older women dont have children LOL. I hope your grandson's mom is feeling better. We are on the 19th Sensation Cruise. Wish we were on this one. All of you sound like so much fun to be around.
