We will also be on the Holiday October 19.  this is our second cruise on the Holiday.  Not the newest, grandest, ship, but it's fun.

Great! This is my second cruise.  First one was on the Ecstasy out of Galveston. It was WONDERFUL!  I am just a little concerned with the size of the Holiday. I hear there is not quite as much to do on this ship.  Anyway, I still can't wait!!!

By the way...where is everyone from?  I am from Missouri, of course.

This will be my second cruise and my husband's first.  We picked the Holiday even though some reviews we have seen have not painted a bright picture.  Mobile is 5 hours from our home.  My husband doesn't like HUGE crowds, so we thought this would be perfect for his first time.  Cruises are what you make of them no matter the age and size of the ship.  I cruised on the Inspiration last year.  It was okay but I really didn"t care about the decor - I just wanted to have fun.  Maybe we can put together a meet and greet on board for those interested.

We are from north metro Atlanta.  Are you driving or flying into port?

Actually, we are driving.  I have a sister who lives in Pascagoula MS. We are going to meet at her house and then her husband is going to drive us to the port. (She is going with me along with my bestest girlfriend and my mom.)

Ya'll will have a great time.  My husband happened to overhear a conversation where the person had just gotten back from cruising on the Holiday.  She said even though it was a smaller ship compared to others, the food was excellent and the crew/service was fantastic.  Made us feel like we have made the right choice.  I am getting excited about the trip!

I am sure we will!  It is my second cruise...but the first for my 3 companions. They are all waiting on their passports. I will feel better when they have their passports in hand!

I know what you mean.  My husband applied for his back in April and got it back within 3 weeks.  We didn't want to take any chances, but I'm sure your companions will not have any problems if they have already applied for them.  Of course, with them in hand there will be no worries!  Have you looked at shore excursions?  We haven't decided yet-there are so many great choices.

We are thinking of doing the shopping in playa del carmen. Its the most inexpensive in Calica.  In Cozumel we all want to do Xcaret eco-park (If it is offered on our ship).  I have done the Deluxe Sail and Snorkel in Cozumel already.  I really enjoyed it but don't want to do the same thing twice!

    Re: Roll-call October 19th?

this is our 17th cruise, Princess and Carnival, so I feel safe in saying you  won't be bored on the Holiday.  Ship is small, but well-maintained.  We were on it in February 2009, so I don't think much could have changed since then.

You will have fun.  this cruise is a great mixture of sea days and port days.
