Thanks Joan! It's nice to talk to people that have been on the Miracle. This will be our first time on this ship. We are going to Belize, Costa Rica and Panama.

I always deal with Glen Noval at Carnival, he handles all my bookings and questions ( and he gets my $$)  I ask him about your question in reference to the list of Carnival excursions......He told me that it had to do with the fact that the ship has not moved to Florida, he says that there will be more things avaible when the ship gets to its Port-Call, I have never met him in person, but have booked every cruise through him and it has been smooth-as-silk thus far.

We are very excited also, dont want  it to get here too fast, we have lots of $$$ to be spent and saved.

Thanks for the info Gary. That's interesting, wonder why? We have always booked with Alan Garcia and it's always been good. I like Alan.

I hear New Years Eve is a blast on the cruise ships. I booked this cruise because of that and the ports. Attending a fancy New Years Eve party is on my bucket list. Big Smile

    Regina S.:
It's exciting for the first few days after you book your cruise, but then the fun kinda dwindles.

Regina, I think in time you'll find that most people on here are always excited about upcoming cruises. We leave in 6 days & when we booked this cruise it was well over 400 days. We're still excited but we had another cruise between.Cool

I didn't mean that the excitement about the cruise itself dwindles away. I mean, after we booked I avoided work and other things just to be able to get on here and watch the boards, but then I realized that life must go on between now and the cruise Confused. It's still fun and exciting. Just trying not to wish my life away. Smile

So... what's everyone's plans for New Years Eve?  Are you planning dressy attire?  I bet that is our formal night. It will be the second night at sea.  I did buy a "New Years Eve" dress on sale right after I booked the cruise in Feb. I was thinking of having my DH rent a tux for the night.  I know it's extra $$ but what the heck.... it's only once and it will save on the packing room.

My documents are starting to show up. We know our flights down but still don't have return flights. We have our luggage tags though!

Humm, I guess my documents are not showing up yet, because my cruise balance is not payed in fulll ( ya-think lolololo )

We have cosidered renting a car and  driving down from B'ham 2 days early since we have never been to Ft Lauredale and we were we going to be off work those two days anyway, and then flying back. So far this has been just a thought because we have a 9 year old and a 6 year old, and if you have kids you know what I'm mean, I never drink-and-drive but 2 kids on the road that long would require RUM and PROZAC and thats probably against the law in Florida while you are operating a car, my kids are not devils but they are certainly not saints. We may also drive 2 hours to Atlanta and fly out of there, cause at the present it about $ 649 cheaper to fly out of Atlanta than B'ham, we are just having to watch the rates.

NO Tux for me Stew, I'm more of a Tank-top and shorts kinda guy, but I want wear that to the dine room (lolol) I usually do dress-pants and a button down, and on formal night I stick on a tie, OH !! lots of times my DW makes me do the tie, because we visit all the picture-taking-stations, since we never have them taken any other time. Some people have a $ 500 bar tap, we have a $ 500 picture tab.

As far as what to do on N.Y. Eve I will probably just be a follower, meaning I'm up for suggestions ?

What about off ship things, or is it too early to plan ?

    Long-Post- SORRY !!!!

    Re: Miracle 12/30/09

    Hey Gary,

I've been there with the kids!  Sometimes when the DH is a passenger it requires a drink and that's on a short drive! LOL  We are flying down a day early but into Miami. Staying there for the night and then a shuttle to Fort Lauderdale.  Both very interesting places to visit.

I am the jeans and t-shirt type of a girl.  But..... since a fancy New Years Eve party is on my "bucket list" I figure why not go all out one time.  Now, when it comes down to it on New Years Eve, I will hate to get all dressed up and probably will do that for dinner and go change afterwards. haha

Being a photographer I am big with pictures. I buy as many as I take. Have to have them all.

I do have some shore tours picked out, I am waiting for them to open up so I can order.  My DH wants to do the zip line but.... not in this life time. That is one thing you will never see on my "bucket list!" haha
