Anyone sailing on the New Years Eve cruise????

My husband and I are booked and so is my co-worker and his girlfriend!

151 More days!!!!  I booked this cruise in February and so far the time has gone real fast.  Have you sailed on New Years Eve before? 

Wow! February! You will definitely be ready to go! :-) Did you get a good deal? We paid $679 ($629 after discounts) for an inside room. I couldn't believe how great of a price they were offering for a New Year's cruise. We went on a cruise over New Year's 2 years ago and it was SO much fun. Big party New Year's Eve with free champagne all night. The only downside for us was that everything was closed in Nassau on New Year's day. Luckily, New Years is just a day at sea on this cruise, so it won't matter. Have you ever been on the Miracle?

I will be ready after all this anticipation!! Also, I am starting to drive everyone else around me nuts with my cruise talk. :)   I think we got a good deal. We paid 964.00 for a balcony. We have never sailed the Miracle.  We have been on the Fantasy, Ecstasy, Sensation and the Legend.

 I had no idea that Carnival had its on threads on here, I spend all my time on Cruise Critic, reading threads and roll-calls.

WE ARE BOOKED !!!!  ME my DW, my DD(9) my DS(6) we are on the Riviera Deck ocean view, and 4 of my coworker/friends have booked also....I love reading these boards and getting fired-up for my up-comming cruises, and now since I found this, I can flip between boards.

We have never cruised this time of the year, and are really looking foward to a New-Year's cruise.

My husband and I are sailing on December 30.  This is our first new year's cruise.  New Year's eve is our 17th wedding anniversity.  Can't wait to be on Carnival again.  It is a blast.

130 days everyone!!!!! Yippeeee!   We took the pre-cruise package and are flying down the day before. Anyone else doing that?   Our 18th wedding anniversary is in February. This will be our first vacation in 18 years with out kids!

We have thought about going down the day before or maybe 2, just depends on our current $$$ status at the time. We thought about renting a car for the ride down and flying back...kinda watching Southwest rates the next few months.....but we are very excited about going, kinda like Christmas two time in a roll.

Do folks not know about these boards or is it just this cruise ? I have done lots of boards on Cruise Critic and they are usually wide open, but I have noticed that this cruise on both boards is not very active.  I did not know if it was the time of year or the place the ship was going, or it could be that ya'll just dont want to talk to a Fat Alabama Red-Neck..

 I feel like I'm a pretty cool guy, even though my kids 9 and 6 don't want their friends to see them with me, its kinda like I'm there only when they need money ?

Anyone out there ?      

Well Gary, I'm pretty sure that you just shot down any chances of getting a good conversation going on here.  Just Kidding. In my opinion, there's just not that much to talk about. It's exciting for the first few days after you book your cruise, but then the fun kinda dwindles. Glad to see your pumped up though!

I'm here! A day late but.....    I'm excited about this trip, 118 more DAYS!!!  With my work schedule it will go fast. I know that is not what most people say but.... I'm more worried it's going to go to fast and it will be over.

  My baby is a senior this year. He is just starting to realize again that we are pretty cool. There is hope.  It's just my DH and I on this cruise.  We have never been to these ports. We try to take different ports each time. What about you?

A question for you all, Have any of you been able to reserve your shore tours yet? My list of options are limited in my reservations. The shore tours I am interested in are not listed. My PV says they will open up sooner or later but I haven't been able to see them yet. Brenda

I noticed that too! I tried to call Carnival one day to find out what the problem is, but I got left on hold for a long time, so I gave up. I just plan on waiting until it gets closer and seeing if they show up.

I envy all of you going on the Miracle.  It is my favorite ship of the six we have been on so far.  We had an eight day to St Thomas, St Kitts and St Lucia, it was wonderful.  Have a great cruise.
