Who told you there wasn't any treatment in the pools.  The ones I swam in were overkill on the chems.

Some of the ships do have kiddie pools.  I think this one is of the Freedom.

They DO have smaller pools for the little ones.Like little wading pools. Each of my seven cruises there was one.I have been on the Fantasy once,Sensation at least twice,Celebration, and the other ships I am not sure, but all had kiddie pools.YesYes

I am not sure if diapered babies are allowed, that will have to be answered by someone with experience. My kids were son,15yrs old, daughter 12,when they went on a cruise in the 90's.

Hi, don't be surprised if you cannot get anywhere near any of the pools ! take your toddler a baby pool with you .. We were on our first cruise in June 2009 on the Legend looking forward to relaxing by and in the pools,  people were packed in like sardines, most of them into being loud and boozing,  never could get even close to any of the pools, or find a vacant sunbed to relax on, not our dream cruise we thought it was going to be,   very disappointing ! But hope its wonderful for you ...

Every cruise we went on,there was no problem getting in the pools.Sure,it WAS crowded, and NOT just people who were being loud and boozing. It was a good mixture of everybody, sort of like society, every shape, size, race, religion, gender, age, you take your pick. The Lido Deck will always be crowded, thats is the "party deck",there is only so many chairs. There are many more people than chairs, cuz there is only so much room.Cool

Since I don't have small children I never thought about the diaper issue (thank goodness Carnival did   lol)

I have to agree though that the pools are no place for diapers baby or adult and lets face it people just do not go on a cruise for a tiny crowded pool. Mrs there are lots of things to do and if you check your ships plan I am sure you will find it has a wading pool.

Have a great cruise and relaxCool

The Victory has an identical kiddie pool as the one in Top Deck's picture from the Freedom.   Many of the ships in Carnival's fleet also have the new waterpark area and the small ones can splash around there.

    Mrs-barrio ~

I don't think anyone was giving you grief about your child.  Just stating the facts of the rules/regs of the ships pool(s) and the lack of chlorinated treatment.   Personally I won't swim in any public pools... chlorinated or not.  Children or not.  Relax.

    Re: EXTREAMLY PISSED!!!

So, for Memorial Day, we took our 2 year old granddaughter with us on the Paradise. She was so cute and had a ball.  We did not put her in the pool or the jacuzzi's because she isn't toilet trained quite yet.  We're working on it.  Nevertheless, there were people who had kids I would put money on that were not toilet trained in the children's pool above the Serenity Deck (can't remember what the deck is called).  There weren't any adults in the pool, but I thought it more prudent not to both allow my granddaughter in that pool or permit her to go into the pool.  She would no doubt contaminate other kids and other kids would contaminate her.  It's just not a safe thing to do.  Now, we do have a kiddie pool at home that is hers alone and she plays in it the same way she was born.  Heck its her pool and its just us!  I must say, I worry about her though when she is indeed potty trained that she will think she's suppose to skinny dip...so I'm sure we will have to buy her a nice Disney Princess swimsuit soon.

Don't be mad Ms. Barrio...people on here are opinionated and many speak their mind. We all have differing opinions about things. So we just bear with one another.  Don't take it personally.  For realz...its okay. Just like you implied...you're a smart mommy...you're not going to do anything to harm your child or anyone else.

I hope, inspite of the pool situation, you have a great time on your future cruise.

You ever hear the quote "If you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen." How do you expect to write about being pissed at Carnival because your child cannot go into the water due to health hazzards ? We are all Carnival lovers we stand behind Carnival so of course don't expect to go  on a Carnival website and get support if its in a negative way.
