    Hi All!

I will not be cruising with you in December (I'll be on the Dream Aug 2010), but my birthday is the 19th, so...enjoy my birthday on the Dream for me!

Congratulations....My husband and I will be on board. It is our 28th Wedding Anniversary on the 19th. We will be leaving the family behind for a dream 'second' honeymoon. It is our first cruise but I doubt very much if it will be our last. See you all there

Re: Carnival Dream Roll Call December 19th 2009

Eleven of us - my family (me, DH, DS 17, friend of DS 16, DD 13 and DS 11) plus sister in law and her family (sis in law, her DH, and their 3 girls ages 19, 18, and 15).  It will be the first cruise for my sister in law and her family.  Hoping this will start a lifetime love of cruising for them.

Anyone else with boys age 11?  DS will go to camp carnival and probably enjoy it, but he'd also like to meet kids and just "hang out" like his older siblings and cousins.

Anyone with girls age 13-14?  My DD thinks Circle C (for ages 12-14)  isn't "cool."  Of course, she's never been to a camp for young teens, so I've told her not to "dis" it before she tries it. I know she would like to find some friends to hang with for the cruise.  Anyone else going with kids her age?  Can we e-mail ahead of time?

What about Club 02 (for teens 15-17)?  Do they really use it?  Do they use it during the day, or just at night?  Or, do they just go there the first day, find some friends and then hang out together elsewhere on the ship?

And, for my neices aged 18 and 19, how do they go about finding friends?  Any tips or suggestions?  Is there a place where they meet?  I'm clueless about what to do with (or for) these teens/young adults.

Also, what about dining?  Our group has 11 people and I don't think the dining room tables fit that many people.  Does anyone know how they seat larger groups?  Do they split them into two adjoing tables?  Has anyone had their kids sit separately somewhere else (but still in the same dining room)?  Or, can the kids eat somewhere else (like the Lido buffet) and let us parents have a more peaceful dinner in the dining room?  Our kids have alsways sat right with use, but we were a smaller group (just 5 of us) and the kids were younger, so this was never an issue before.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I've asked so many questions.  I really appreciate any thoughts, comments and suggestions you have.

Can't wait.  Just 13 weeks and 6 days left!  Annie.

I've got kids in all of those age brackets but can't email ahead of time because they won't know anything about this until the day we leave...my son will be 18 in January, daughters 16 & 14, Sons 12, 10, & 6. I don't usually worry about them finding friends because either they will find friends or they will have each other...I think we will try the kid programs for them and let them decide if it is something they want to continue with. Sorry I can't answer any of your dinner questions as this is our first cruise since our honeymoon 21 years ago. Gary

Maybe our kids will meet in the kids programs.  What a neat surprise for the family.  Kudos to you for keeping it a secret.  I think it'd be too hard for me to hide my anticipation...  Annie.

Re: Carnival Dream Roll Call December 19th 2009

I can tell you my son's experience with Club O2. He's 15.  We were on the Carnival Glory in June and my son and niece's loved Club O2.  They made a bunch of friends there.  They pretty much only went in the evenings after dinner and they could come and go as they pleased.  The club itself is opened all day but no one really went during the day.  But they would meet up with the friends they met and hang out and find stuff to do during the day.  At night a bunch of them even went to the piano bar and sang and had a blast.  Him and my niece, she's also 15 can't wait for this cruise.  Have your daughter check out the Circle C club.  She might really enjoy herself and she'll meet a bunch of friends!  96 more days!  At least we are finally in the double digits!

As far as the dining room.  If you all booked together, if they can't fit you all together they will put you at 2 tables beside each other.  If they don't just go see the maitre d as soon as you get on the ship and get settled.  They will do everything they can to accommodate you.
