excursions....well we are kinda doing the same as you.  But we are going into cozumel and staying on the ship in the other ports.  We have been to all of these ports before.  I think we are going to do something with beach there.....enjoy that UNKNOWN sunshine  that never comes to Michigan. 

Spartan fans..... well not really,  not to much in sports, but try to suport our local teams LOL     I know.  Did you say this is the first time for you kids?  I think they will love it    our kids always did.   Well talk to you soon

Hi, Bob-n-Robyn...........we are cruising 2 times a year...(since my dad passed away These cruises are gift from my mom.......We don't do any excursion........we get off on the pier and shop then we come back on the ship and take sun......my mom is 82 so we stay with her onboard........

Every night we are going to the casino and we play the 4  of us on the same machine......just to be together and have fun..........

MIchele: I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. It's nice that you can spend that kind of time with your mother on the cruises! We have had a cruise where we didn't do much in the way of excursions; just rest and relaxation was the order of the day. We've already been to Cozumel so we'll probably just do some pier shopping as you mention above. The excursions in Puerto Rico didn't look exciting enough for the costs, so we're planning to just wing it that day. But we are going to the Panama Canal; it will be very educational for the kids! I have never ever won anything on the slots....so I'm not too fond of it. We just take a roll of quarters or nickles and when those are gone, we're done. : ) On our last cruise we did play Bingo and came "this close" to winning...we might do some of that this time. The kids will like it. Your written English is great, Michele! I'd love to meet you and your mother and sister....did you see the post about meeting at the Lido deck pool at 2:30 on the day of disembark? We're flying in that day, so that time will be close, but maybe we can still meet. Robyn

And we always all 4 together.....all day long.........

Hi Michelle, sounds like we have the same taste of things to do on the crusie.  I to like to take in the sun, and I love the casino.... I play 3 card poker.  I know I can't wait to get away from the cold and wet weather here in Michigan.  Hope to talk to you soon.

Yeah! WELCOME! So....what are you looking forward to the most (besides just getting on board!) The weather here has turned cold and rainy and we've had our first frost of the fall. We are already looking forward to the warmer weather. Robyn

That's funny Michele that you get dressed up as though every night were "Formal night"....we're quite the opposite. While we do like to eat in the formal dinning room, we are not big on getting all glammed up! My husband will wear a jacket and tie until we pass the Maitre'd and then they're both off faster than they went on! Since I HATE panty hose, I only dress up so much as I don't have to put those on!!! Disembark with a flight at 12:30? That doesn't sound too bad....don't they usually give a priority for early fliers? Seems like we had an early flight once and we were up and off the boat, picked up luggage and in the terminal by 10:00 a.m. It wasn't much fun, but we managed. Some of the other posts to this blog were going to try to meet at the aft pool bar. Think you'll be on ship early enough to do that? We'd love to meet you. Robyn

Pantyhose?  I don't think I've owned a pair of those in 20 years!  not much need for those here in Florida, we wear shorts all year round.  

 We just booked this morning, finally got vacation approval from our employer...made reservations at the supper club for Friday night, now going to check out the excursions..I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

No panty hose for me on cruise...........

Yes we will have a priority for our flight.......

We will be early for embarkation to...because we will arrive at fort lauderdale the day before the cruise.........

In montreal the weather is cool to...around 9 C  or 50F.......and at night it goes down around 4 C or 40F

 Robyn, You ask what we are looking forward to most...... I would say relaxing in the sun with a drink of the day in hand.... I guess just relaxing (no worries LOL)

Yes I'm on Cruise Critic too.  We met a LOT of nice people on Cruise Critic who were on our last cruise in May, and had a ball with them. My husband an I usually cruise by ourselves...we haven't been able to convince friends and relatives that it is an affordable vacation choice..but we keep trying.  So it's nice for us to have a few "friendly faces" to meet when we get on board the ship! 

Oh, Lisa. That's so funny that you can't convince your family to go cruising. I've been trying to convince my dad for 5 years to cruise and he won't because it isn't "safe." Says that it's too dangerous because of all the pirates (?!?!?! Africa?!?!?) ....and remember that cruise back in the 1980's that was taken hostage and someone in a wheelchair was sent overboard? Says he'll never go on a cruise because of that. But, when I ask about flying because of the tragedies of 9/11 he says that's different! Seriously! Isn't that crazy?

 I know it is strange that people who have NOT been on a cruise are sooooo against them.  I have family that says the same thing... I might get sea sick,,,, I might fall over board...oh my there might be a hurricane LOL  I've heard them all.  But those of us who have crusied, just keep going.  I know when we took our first one....we said it would be just the once.  Now we go at least once a year (twice if we figure out our time off at work LOL)  I think cruising is the BEST vacation ever.   well I rambled on enough...... till next time
