    Must dos or sees

We will be leaving on a Bahamas cruise in November.  One day we will have a port of call in Port Canaveral from 7 am to 7 pm.  I'm looking at the shore excursions trying to decide what to do with two boys (11 & 15).

    Any suggestions?

I have heard that Cocoa Beach is not very clean.  Any comments?

How about the space center - are the boys into rockets/space travel?  Bet they'd love a chance to see the shuttle!

Hello...I have toured the space center and have even witnessed a shuttle launch from Cocoa Beach.  It is an amazing tour if you are into a bit of our space program's history.  You can witness a simulated launch then after, enter a room that hosts one of our past rockets.  It truly is amazing and remember that the Nasa area hosts a natural habitat of endangered species.  I found the entire area facinating. Cocoa Beach is a public beach....can not compare to one of the caribbean beaches in any way but I didn't mind it.  Many things to do on the strip where Cocoa Beach is located like the pier & Ron Jon Surf shop, etc...

    Enjoy your cruise!

Take your boys to Kennedy Space Center.  It is an awesome experience.  You will not be sorry.  They may even have an excursion package for you.

One year we did Disney and the Space Center.  To tell you the truth, we thought the Space Center was fantastic.  We even got to see a rocket launch that day from Cocoa Beach.  You may want to try to check the launch schedules.  It wasn't a shuttle launch but still, none the less spectacular!

Have a great time with your boys!
