There will be ~70+ military veterans (couples) from our group (all services) and we'll be having a couple of reunions aboard for this Veteran's Day cruise.

    Have a great time!

At Grand Cayman if you go on your own, there is Margaritaville Restaurant with a rooftop pool.  We have done the Seven Mile Beach Break where we went snorkeling. We saw coral, fish, an eel, and a sea turtle.  The water is clear here.  Alot of people like to do the Stingray tours.

At Roatan people have suggested the Tabyana Beach Day.  If you like to scuba dive, I have had family that went to Anthony's Key.  The water is very clear here.

At Belize people have suggested the beaches because the water is clear for snorkeling.  Xunantunich and the Altun Ha Mayan Tours look interesting.

At Cozumel people have enjoyed the Mayan Ruins of Tulum.  The last time we went to Cozumel we went on our own and went shopping downtown and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe.  If you go on your own, you need to ask the cab driver how much to downtown before you get into the cab.  You should only have to pay between $10-$15.  There is also a Senor Frogs downtown and at the pier by the ship.

There is a lot to do at each of these ports. It just depends what you would like to do.  If you search each of these places on the internet, it may help in your decision.  That is how I found out about Margaritaville and Senor Frogs.  I also occasionally catch some of these places on the travel channel.  Have fun whatever you decide to do.

I will be there with the Singles group for their Boomer Cruise.  We did the same cruise last year and it was really nice; great beaches and good weather.  Just a tip to other singles, sometimes you can join our parties with an ok from one of our hosts (or by invitation from a member); they are really fun and have themes, we have a Hawaiian night and a 50s/60s Sock Hop. For the dates and location there is a group hospitality desk, the pursers can probably tell you where it is located, we don't know the location of it yet but that is where you can get information and the ok to attend if you would like to check it out.

If any of you will be at the Miami Airport or Ft Lauderdale Comfort Inn & Suites on Saturday nite some us will be in the lounge area for a pre-cruise meet & greet - you all are welcome to join us.

We're going to be getting in a bit late as we're traveling down from WI via Amtrak (two days) and will be in ~ 7:00pm or so.  This is our fifth cruise, second w/Carnival to the W-Caribbean.  Are any of you with the vets group that BEVERLY has put together?

Hope you all have a good trip down and enjoy the cruise!

Hellow Insdrews I'm hermancat glad to see that a neighbor will be on this cruise my wife and I live in Metamora just down the road from you. Hope to see you on the cruise. I am a veteran but saw no action. Veterans Day is not the reason I choose this cruise. The Valor is a great ship, been on it before. As first time cruisers if you make up your mind to have a great time and don't sweat the little stuff you should have a great time. enjoy

Thanks neighbor! We are excited about our first cruise. We hope to do some snorkling, ziplining and / or cave tubing. We plan on spending a lot of time on the beaches too.

What advice do you have for us? What did you like best about the Valor? What, if anything, should we avoid?

    Thanks Again.
