:( OH yeah we ARE NOT going to Mexico! Why are we not going to Mexico you might ask? Well I don't know!  I bought a ticket that says Mexico but we are going to Catalina. Growing up in California I have been a ton of times to Catalina. Not only that I have to drive all the way to Long Beach to go to Catalina. (I live in Hollywood) I hope I don't bump into any of my parents friends that live on the island. I would hate to waste my day hanging out with old folks. Oh wait that's what Catalina is a island for the old or romantic, not the young and ready to have fun crowd. That would be Mexico the place I paid to go too. Papas and Beer will be missed this year. By the way did I mention that I have been going on this same cruise for the pass 8 years with parties of 10-30 people and have had a blast every year in MEXICO. But I guess not this year. Next year we will have to use another cruise company that honor their commitments.

 HA! HA! Whine Flu how did you come up with that???? Cruises are what you PAY FOR not what you make them. If I made this cruise then it would go to MEXICO. Wow I paid to go to a island off of California I'm from California. I guess you could care less about getting something that you didn't pay for. It's like going and buying a Audi and then they give you the keys to a GMC and they say you paid for a car not a Audi. What if a airline did this. Buy a ticket at LAX to fly to Mexico and they land in Long Beach and they say Oh we are just flying to Long Beach today not Mexico.

My thoughts exactly. Why complain? If you are unhappy regarding the port change, you always have the option to cancel. Some people just love to be negative!!!

My guess is that jnc1610 works for carnival because that is exactly what Carnival said to me. "Get Over It" I'll tell you that I am over it, and that IT is Carnival. Eight years as a customer and it's down to them in breach of contract. You can tell who works for Carnival on here and who doesn't. Because who in their right mind would spend hundreds of dollars on one thing and get something completely different in return and then say "Oh That's OK Money, My Time, and the place that I DON'T want to go to is ok with me." Only someone that has invested interest in the company would be ok with this. So JNC1610 you can be taken advantage of if you are ok with that. So I guess that I am just the exception to the rule when it comes to being taken advantage of and caring about what I purchase. This is my last cruise with them. This is why our country is so bad right now because of corporate greed. Carnival won't take the hit on docking fees that they paid to dock in Catalina. Sack up Carnival and stop being greedy and take the hit and give me what I paid for a cruise to Mexico. By the way team if you want to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau here is the link Carnival has a B- My company a Radio Promotion company has an A and yes my friends in Radio will know how bad I was treated by Carnival. Yes you are don't belive what you read. I called and asked to cancel and to get a refund and they said to "Just don't show up and wright a letter to our Executive office" I said "OK and then you will credit my card or send me a refund right" and they said "No you won't get a refund" So then I called her on it and said "So you are trying to trick me again, you want me to just not show up and wright a letter and you didn't think that I would want a refund" BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Some people might have fell for this and from the responses that I have been getting on my post I think most of you would because you don't seem to care about being screwed over by a company. By the way what happened to my last post with the BBB link and Carnivals B-.

 Oh by the way I read a article too that says that Carnival has other ships going to mexico. So once again Carnival sack up and take the hit to make your customers happy. Or have Gerry Cahill give me a call to explain why we can't go to Mexico I know I have called him twice today only to get someone on the phone that says they can't help me. Have your CEO call come on Gerry explain why you are being to cheep to honor this cruise to mexico. Funny, I just noticed today that the OP is anonymous.  That sends up red flags that say troll on them.  I've read plenty of posts on cruisecritic from people whose cruised were re-routed during this swine flu junk & none of them reported any problems with whatever they decided to do.  No, I would not want to cruise California either - I would have opted for a credit in the amount of my cruise to take a different one.

 I'm on this cruise too & I can't believe we are going to Catalina. This ***!!!!!
