Anyone else traveling with family on the 12/14/09 Miracle cruise.  We are a group of extended family members 16 in all from Nevada, Utah and Idaho traveling with 9 teens and pre-teens ranging in age from 11-18.  Very excited about the 8 day cruise.  This will be our Christmas!  For 5 of the kids it will be their first cruise.  For the other 4 kids it will be their 5th cruise.

We are traveling with extended family as well - just not the younger set.  We are a group of 8 - ages 40-65.  This is a first cruise for one - the rest of us are seasoned cruisers.  Looking forward to a great time!

 How wonderful to know there are going to be others on the ship!  We have a big age span in our group of 10 years old to 67ish.  We cruised one other time with 2 families and it was so much fun. This will be a great Christmas celebration!

Looking for others going on this cruise.  We've added another person to our group we are up to 9.  Will hopefully add one more to keep things even .  There has to be more than just our 2 groups.....

We too will be on this cruise. This is our 8th Carnival cruise. It will be my husband and myself, plus my brother and his wife. This is the smallest group we have ever gone with. We have never had a "bad" cruise. We are so looking forward to going through the Panama Canal. All of these ports are new for us. We usually start planning our next cruise when we return from our last one. Hope to meet some of you on board. We'll be the ones with the "drink of the day" in our hands! Happy Cruising!!!!

Nana6 - If you are the ones with the DOD in your hands we are in trouble - 'cause our group will also have DOD's in our hands (almost the whole cruise) folks will likely get us all confused.

Hey, thanks for the info...I went over and joined Cruisecritic.com (I'm Nana10 there) but couldn't find any talk of our cruise. Have you been to any of these ports before. They are all new ports for us.

We are traveling on that same cruise. We are coming from Colorado and will be arriving a day earlier before the ship sails in Ft. Lauderdale. This is our 8th cruise and we are celebrating our 50th anniversary. This will be our first on this itenerary.

We cannot decide whether to take the Panama Canal tour or the train tour. I understand both are very good tours.

We are very young in spirit senior citizens who usually stay up even when most passengers have gone to bed.

    I have a question since I am new to this networking stuff. Do ya'll get together for a meet & greet while on board? Just would like to meet other happy cruiseres. Our vacation countdown is now in the 2 digit range. We started at 325! But for us part of the fun is talking about the cruise all year. We love the planning part. But most of the time we don't end up doing what we think we will. HA!!!

Woo Hoo - Final payment has been made and docs are printed - 74 days until we begin our trek south to Port Everglades and board the Miracle....

We are right there with you. 72 days until we start down to the port too. We sat on our back porch this morning drinking coffee and talking of nothing but the cruise. And our "mini vacation" on our 3 day trip down. We are so excited. I can almost taste the DOD!

  How can we meet up with this cruise critic group? We sure would like to meet everyone.

As far as I know there isn't a Meet & Greet set up yet.  I'll get on CC tonight (can't get there from wk) and see what I can find.

Our "mini vacation" is only 2 days on the way down.  DOD's here we come.  We are ready to go NOW!!!

   Where are you driving down from? My brother & his wife will be driving down from ILL. on Thurs,the 10th to our house in Memphis. Then we will leave Memphis that Friday morning(Dec11th) headed for Pensacola Beach. The next day we go to St. Augustine and then on Sunday down to Boca Raton. Then on Monday morning we will cruise right on into Ft. Lauderdale and board the ship as early as possible. I can almost taste the DOD all ready. As of tomorrow morning....64 days until our vacation starts. YEAH!!!!!
