I was wondering that, too.  What are the two nights we need to dress up?  And is that only if you do formal dining?  What constitutes "formal?"

Hi Lindayuma,

 no, the first night is definetely not formal night. Dinner is casual that evening because most of the time we don't get our luggage in time for 1st dinner seating. Yes to the other post two dresses should be good enough. Formal is dressy( cocktail dress at least). And i don't know about your hubby but mine does'nt like to wear a penguin suit, but if he does'nt mind then more power to him. Some do. At least a suit jacket, tie. I think the 2nd night is the first formal.

I'm just wondering if Monday night is a dress up/captains night.?!!

Wawhooo! Here we go... Wawhooo Can;t wait! - I see birthday and anniversary's all around us.. today is Sheri, Tomorrow Carmen's.. Mine is the 12th, Think Crusing Couples son's is while were onthe cruise also... Wawhoo & Happy Birthday everybody..

 As far as I know Captians night is usually the night of the 1st formal night & that is usually the 1st full day at sea.. so Monday night - this is just a guess.... Formal has changed over time on crusies..Just a little nicer than business casual works...But it can range from nice cocktail dress-( prom dress) to a Tux.. I have seen all sorts.. even a 80's hoop skirt dress.. - Guy's usually wear somekind of sport jacket & nice shirt & you can even leave off the tie.. 

Some people go all out and most are just a little more relaxed with it.. I am some where in the middle.. I don't wear dresses at all, so I do a nice little pant suit thingy.. & Sheri wear her LBD- (Little Black Dress). I am sure we will all be just beautiful!!- and it's a nice photo Opt...

 Cool!  Its our anniversary on the 11th and my husbands birthday on the last day!  so much to celebrate...wooohoooo!

 Oh thats fine!  My names Linda (Lindy) and we live in Yuma, Az. (hence the email address) My husbands name is Sal.  YES, WORK!   Its hard to concentrate because I'm so excited...

Omg! you're celebrating on the 12th, so are we,our anniversary. I thought captains night was on the 5th day, i believe it's the day we go to mazatlan, that evening. Are Cruiser, Dscheidle & Ajbrickell not joining us? Is everyone on the roll call list, Monkeyheads?

I guess I'll just wait and see when formal night is...I only have 2 dresses and I think that will work out just fine. Nothing too fancy and Hubby will wear slacks and dress shirt..
