    Does anyone go to Canada?

I am leaving for Canada in 53 days and I am amazed that nobody writes about any trips taken there. There are new posts about things to do places to see and all kinds of great stuff on every other page but canada. Is this because this cruise really isn't worth taking? It's my first and I am really excited but to hear that nobody else is going or has ever been it is making me worry if I have made a poor decision. Someone please tell me I am still going to enjoy myself even though I am not going to sunburn heaven.

I understandSmileBut on CC I found the roll call for my cruise and feel soooo much better.  This is our second cruise, and I can say from experience (even though it's very little) that I can't imagine a bad cruise!  We chose Canada because we could leave out of New York, but we have done a lot of research since then on shore excursions and what to do once we get there.  Of course in Canada we won't be lying around on the beach or swimming with dolphins, but we can go on a whale watch, take a jet boat ride in the reversing falls (apparently it's very exciting) or go deep sea fishing.  In the end, we went to Nassau last year, and it was fun, but we had most of the fun we had was on the ship... and I don't think that will be any different this year.  Just remember that the Triumph (which I assume you will be on) isn't sailing to Canada right now... as a matter of fact, I don't know if there are any ships going from NYC to Canada right now which could account for the lack of activity on the boards.  Just my thoughts.  But go on your first cruise with a positive attitude, buy a monkeyhead and have a BLAST!!!Big Smile

The number one, and most important reason to go on a cruise is the cruise itself.  The ports are only secondary to the fun and relaxation you will have on board.

Going to the Carribean is like one giant party. They have a whole industry, just dedicated to finding ways to take the cruise ships dollars.  How many different ways can you pay to go snorkling?

Canada is only a part time destination, so what you have are things to do, but not dedicated to the cruise industry.  The ports go about their daily lives, and when a ship comes in, they roll out the welcome mat, and the next day, it is back to regular city life for them.
