I did see that fruit punch is free on the ship. If it is not then why is it posted as free?

Fruit punch use to be free.  Now it isn't offered at all anymore.  Apparently, too many passengers were spilling it on the carpeting, and the carpeting was being permanently stained.   It still listed because they haven't had a chance to update the website yet.

Also, some people call fruit punch "juice", especially in reference to small kids.  Real juice, like orange juice, is still available during breakfast.

    Ayuh,

Many, many changes across the fleet and too few folks to make changes.  If anyone has new information, please forward it to Cheryl at SeaUonboard....Great site with great information for all of us.

Cheryl has provided a great service to us.  It is the least we can do to provide her with updates on prices and other information we may encounter.

Cans are allowed.  I think people are really stretching the definition of "reasonable".  At the rate people are going it won't be long before Carnival bans it all.

    Very good point.

There was someone bragging here that they are soda addicts, and bring over 40 cans on board.  IMHO, that is beyond reasonable, and I agree that if too many people start to do that, Carnival will stop it all together, and we then all loose.

I think im going to pack a dufflebag into my suitcase and when i get into lauderdale the day before i will go buy some water and put it in my bag. Then i can have the bag to pack gifts for my family. So how much water is appropriate? Im thinking one case is that to much? What do you think Walt??

    Wendy,

That's a great idea.  We usually bring a 12 pack or so of soda and one of water.  You can always replenish it in the ports.

I have a hard time just brining a carryon, mesh tote, and a few bottles of wine.  Where do they get these pack mules?

    Re: "Reasonable" amount of soda???

Walt  It was probably me that posted about bringing on 40 cans of soda.  I am not addicted to it, I bring it for the family, at least I used to.  I quit bringing it aboard because of problems with swelling ankles.  I stick to iced tea now and on the last cruise I mixed it with lemonade which was very tasty.  I don't think I was bragging, I was just stating a fact.  Other people bring liquor aboard, I have never done that.  When we are on a seven or eight day cruise and we take five or six family  members, that isn't exactly an addiction.  The only addiction I have is cruising and cc. LOL  It wasn't a problem bringing it aboard, I just packed a wheel on suitcase with diet Coke, sometimes I wheeled it aboard myself, other times I let the porter bring it on.  I never tried to hide it, they put it through the scanner.

    Re: "Reasonable" amount of soda???

I asked this question as well and finally just emailed  Carnival to ask them directly.  I was needing to take bottled water on board for an infant.  I carried 24 bottles of water.  When I asked Carnival what the definition of "reasonable" was the representative replied that the amount of beverages brought on board is not controlled by Carnival but by the Port Authority.  It was the Carnival represenative suggestion to distribute my water through out my luggage and that is what I did.  I do think they are very strict on the amount of liquor brought on board though.

    Re: "Reasonable" amount of soda???

I guess since 3 out of 4 of us are diabetics andwear an insulin pump, we wont bother with the bringing aboard drinks. I was thinking aout it, but since we are all heavy soda drinkers, and cant do the sweet tea and lemonaid for obvious reasons. i am thinking the soda cards would be our best interest?!? Ohh but i guess we could to keep in our rooms. Duhh I wasnt thinking about that! Sorry!

Anyway we are all looking foward to our first cruise! 31 more days!!

Actually, 111 mph; anything else is just a category 1 or 2.
