Thought I would share this with everyone, just in case you guys didn't get the email from Carnival.  It says....

Dressing up and cruising the neighborhood on Halloween is always the sweetest time of the year for kids and adults alike. So for those who will be vacationing "Fun Ship"-style during this time, Carnival came up with a "ghoul" idea… a "Frightfully Fun" party.

All sailings that depart in mid-October and run through Halloween will feature our fourth annual "Frightfully Fun" night.

So, for those of you with kids, considering bring costumes on the cruise. Our costumes are being resurrected and looking forward to making a a%@ of ourselves.  lol.

 

I read on John Heald's "Blog Thingy" that we no longer have to take our life jackets to muster- we will just have a demonstration of how to use them! Sounds like we can meet and greet right after muster without having to return the life jackets to the cabin! Woo Hoo!  21st Century Bar here we come! I can hardly wait to leave this snow and cold weather behind- It's ffffffrrrrrreeeeezing up here

It's official... our wedding plans went off without a hitch! Well, except for the obvious "hitch" that took place! Thank you EVERYONE, for all your well-wishings! Cant wait to get together! Post-muster @ the 21st sounds great to me. HMMMM, we need to figure out someway to be able to spot one another, a theme perhaps? Crazy hats? Everyone wear a certain color? Of course, I'll be easy to spot with a Twilight Zone in one hand and Miami Vice in the other!!! ;-P

 Also, were Cabin M4 if you wanna come by and sign our honeymoon door poster! (It's totally cheesey, but were goobers like that!)

On the Splendor Aug 30-Sept 7, we used Mardi Gras Beads-- some people even brought extras for those without!

Carmen and I will have light blue shirts commemorating one of our best SNL Digital Shorts.  I'm on a boat.  Ashley, just keep that Miami Vice away from Carmen. Although, I have a feeling she will have already talked me into getting her one.  lol.

OMG!!! We leave for New Orleans Thursday morning... that's the day after tomorrow. Yay!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly contain my excitement! We're all packed up and ready to go. I'm so ready!!!

FOUR DAYS, guys!!!!

Man, this cruise is going to be great... Bobbi and I will see you guys in the 21st Century Bar after muster - we both can't wait to get this trip started. Not sure what we'll be wearing, but if I find out before Saturday I'll let you guys know. Besides, I'm 6'4", late-twenties and have a close-cut beard, I can't be TOO hard to spot in a crowd. WILL there be a crowd? Lots of people looking to take the post-muster edge off??

...maybe I'll wear that cowboy hat I'm wearing in my avatar picture. I usually consider it a little silly for in public but, hey - this is a FUN SHIP, right?!

Thank you all SO much, we can't wait to celebrate with you guys! We decided to be totally cheesey and dress like tourists! He'll be wearing a fairly loud hawaiin print shirt and I'll wear muh tye-dye dress! Don't be afraid to get silly! Keep in mind most of your fellow cruisers you'll never see or hear from again! What happens on the boat, stays on the boat!!!

Congrats to the newlyweds Ashley and Ronnie! We are all packed and ready to fly out tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. We look forward to seeing you either at the Drury Inn or on the ship!

Okay guys... we are officially on vacation. We're leaving for New Orleans in two hours. Everybody be safe! & we'll see you soon!

I didn't read all the threads but I have been on the Fantasy twice (I go again 12/10/09). Here are my pointers- Tip your room steward when you arrive- even if it is $5.00. You will be surprised at the service. Find your favorite bartender and give them a cash tip. Palm it. You will have the strongest and best drinks. You will be served before anyone else. The servers are prople too, far away from their homes. Take an interest, they love to tell you about their homes and famialies. Ask you head waiter "what is good tonight"? They know what is good. Try the Sushi, great before dinner with sake. (You will be weaving into dinner). Particapate in the games or videos. It is fun to watch yourself over and over on teh Carnival TV, and everyone recognizes you throughout the cruise. The Fantasy has the best wait staff of all the cruises I have been on. (Carnival, Royal C, Princess) I am green with envy. Have a great time. Return to the roll call when you comeback and let me know what is good and what is bad! Give me some tips! Especailly what you enjoyed eating and drinking. Bon voyage!
