At that distance, you should be able to see it. It depends on the trajectory and your position in relation to it. It will look like a matchhead of light followed by a large contrail and should be visible for several minutes. And it's a lot bigger than you might think! At that distance you may still be able to see the solid rocket boosters separate preparatory to falling into the sea. You won't be able to see them very long - a few seconds. After throttle up, the brilliant matchhead dims but you can still see the dot of light. It's faster than you think as it moves across the horizon.
I hope it's a go for you. I've seen several hundred launches of many different rockets and each one gives you a thrill but nothing is like the shuttle at dusk...beautiful!
