You probably won't make your early sitting if you want to see the Statute of Liberty but it is definitely worth seeing plus going under the bridge is pretty cool too!  Have a great time!  We cruise in 6 days!!

It takes about an hour to hour an half to get to the statue of liberty depending on many factors.  It is not that close so you need a good zoom on your camera to get a good look at her...I was hoping we could get closer but no luck.

we left at 5pm on the 13th of july, it took about 45 minutes to sail past the lady and 15 more to sail under the bridge from statin island, u can be 30 minutes late for dinner, they dont care much, just be gone before the 8pm sitting, if the weather is good we liked the deck with "put put" is on, if u want a railing view get there at 5pm becouse it does get crowded, have fun   ron

Thanks Ron, we were getting off the ship as you were boarding. We had a balcony suite on the port side so we decided to waiting until the morning (6:12AM) Monday, the 13th to see her. Hope y'all had a good time, we did. Ken Kingery

We are back. Thanks for tall the info. We got alot of pictures of the Statue and Ellis Island. Made it to early seating dinner with time to spare. They were on the starboard (right) side of the boat. Our best pics were once we past the statue and from the rear of the boat. The sun was setting on that side of the statue, so you can see the green in it.

I was reading a blog recently that said if you have an even number cabin you will see the New York Skyline on the way out and the Statue of Liberty on the return.  The reverse will hold true for the odd numbered cabins.  Of course if you're on the main deck you can see it all.
