Our favorite ship was the RCL Vision of the Seas.  The Carnival Liberty was our favorite Carnival ship so far.  It was the largest & newest.  The Dream will be pretty spectacular.

What a coinsidence, we live in Ocala, Fl. and I came from New England also.  I live there for 23 years and here for 28 yrs.  I hope we can meet up with you and your hubby and Sandy and John, on the ship.  I will buy you all a drink to celebrate both of your anniversaries.

Did yuo notice that our countdown clocks are different by one day?  i think is because I set mine for the time the ship sails.  Whatever, all I know is in 2 months we will be crusing the Caribbean!!!

My Carnival cruise booking shows 68 days also.  Maybe some others have to fly in so count the day before the ship leaves?  Anyways, it is nearing fast.  I notice the prices had gone down some with the senior discount but now that is gone and the prices jumped up again.  Looks like no OBC for me since I booked ESR.

This is the first cruise we have prepaid our grats.  We have so much stuff going on that I needed to do it now, before the money got spent.  Labor Day Weekend we are driving to Pigeon Forge, TN for our older son's wedding.  Then Nov, our cruise, and then New Years we are headed to New England to see family.  We have 2 grandkids and 2 more on the way...one in Nov and one in Dec.  $$$$$$$$$$

looks like you are going to be busy all the way through next year.  Congrats on the up coming births of 2 grandchildren.

We too booked ESR and it still hasn't gotten any lower than when we booked.  So we won't be getting a OBC either.  We also prepaid our gratuities for the same reason as you.  I am watching every penny.  As least I know that the cruise & tips are all paid for.  Next week I am booking our excursions, then that should be it.  All I'll have to do is save up for some spend money.  I want to do this whole cruise cash no credit cards.  I don't want any debts when I return home.

So.. What excursions are everyone going to do?  Also, what dining?  Early, late or whenever dining..   we are doing the whenever dining.  I like to feed the belly when it roars !!!  We want to go snorkeling, and to stingray city in the caymans, and parasailing and shopping and beach in cozumel.  Its sooo... much FUN!!!

I was just reading thru the posts from the beginning and I remember those days too well, Now we are less that half the days to go (THANK THE LORD), But I noticed that Linda from Ohio, or SeaPearl hasnt been on....and I also noticed I didnt reply to them...So, if your out there somewhere, Sorry!!!  Please come back.

Sandy, SeaPearl is my friend Sandi that will be traveling with me, she isn't in to all this blogging!!  As for Linda in Ohio, she isn't on our cruise, I believe that she was just making a comment!!  It looks as though it's just the 6 of us.

I Can't Wait!!!!! 

Sandy, I have done all the water excursions on my previous cruises, so this time we are doing the city tours on both islands.  The other reason is I have a bad knee and too much walking is too difficult.  As for the dining, we are scheduled for early sitting.  I'm so used to it with the kids that if I don't eat by 6:00 I feel at though I may starve to death .  Mind you I could eat off the fat of the land for months without ever needing to consume any food, but you know what the say about fat people, we are always happy, so that's the way I want to be!!!  Keep the lobster and drawn butter coming!!!
