If you have not sailed on Carnival in the past two years, you might not be aware of perhaps Carnival’s most ambitious fleet revitalization project to date, known as “Evolutions of Fun”. This $240 million refurbishment and enhancement project on Carnival’s Fantasy-class fleet has received rave reviews since it was first introduced to the Carnival Inspiration in September of 2007. Some of the new “Evolutions of Fun” upgrades include a 9-hole miniature golf course, adults only Serenity Deck with special padded sun loungers and teak decks, a Mongolian Stir-Fry station, and a complete overhaul of every cabin and public area on the ship. Perhaps the most exciting feature, however is the new Carnival WaterWorks, which is the largest water park at sea! Carnival WaterWorks includes not only a 4-story tall enclosed twister water slide, but also twin 80-foot racing slides, a child’s water playground with a variety of fountains and sprinklers and numerous lounge chairs to watch the wake of the ship as you sail through the sunny Caribbean waters. The Carnival WaterWorks area occupies the entire aft deck of Verandah Deck 11 and is open daily. Check your Carnival Capers for hours.
