    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

They're both good lots. If you're on the Ecstasy EZ may have you park at their second lot which is farther fron the port. Lighthouse is very reliable and after Ike destroyed Galveston they refunded our prepaid parking without any fuss.

I have always used www.portofgalveston.com .  Pay online, save $5, people are friendly and helpful, bus is waiting for you when you get off boat.  Don't have a clue about any of the rest.

Have used Light House 4 times.  Great location (parking lot is elevated about 6-7 ft from street level which is good for floods) and service is great.  Quick pickup and drop off.  Both ways. Book and pay online-print the page and show it when you drive in.  They are the first one you see on the right as you drive to the ship dock.

    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

I booked our parking with the port of Galveston. Their web site promised transportation for passengers & luggage to & from the dock. After I booked, all the info said to drop luggage & any other passengers at the dock, only driver will be shuttled. Which is true ?

You, your guests and your luggage will be dropped at the Carnival Conquest dock....at the far right side. ONLY the driver will be shuttled BACK to the Lighthouse parking lot.  You don't want to go back.  You're on vacation.....on the Conquest.  Tip the driver and go check in.  Get on board and go to the Lido Deck and have a drink and lunch.  Lighthouse is quality service and price value BeerCoolYes

Both times I have used the Port of Galveston, they have driven me and passengers back with a smile.  Very friendly people.  Dropped off luggage at door, tipped $1 per suitcase, drove to parking lot, we all got picked up at our vehicle.  When we got back, they help load luggage into shuttle, drove thru parking lot.  When we were close to someones vehicle, just tell them and they dropped you off at you bumper.  Would highly recommed them.

    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

We have done them all.  We started out with the Port of Galveston which is the most expensive.  It is less expensive with EZcruise or Lighthouse.  You can book either one online, I think they are the same price.  They will shuttle you to the ship the same as the port of Galveston, just cost you less.

EZ Cruise once put us in that second lot and didn't come to get us for almost two hours one time...not all their fault as they were not letting people on the dock yet due to some emergency, but it was hot as .....  and we had no open water containers available...I think they could have done something.  Been using Lighthouse ever since.

    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

I think the Lighthouse lot offers a better security.  I just spoke to the owner about the concerns and he assured me they have an excellent rep plus, they have someone living on the premises for additional assurance (along with security cameras & fenced in)...I plan to go with Lighthouse!

    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

Just got off the Conquest Sunday. I used EZ. Both EZ and Lighthouse offer great prices, MUCH cheaper than Port Of Galveston. I paid 50 bucks for seven days by booking online, as opposed to the Port Lot which charges 70. The Port lots are not elevated either, and there seems to be absolutely no security. The shuttles were fast and steady this past week with EZ. I will use them again for sure.

    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

We have used EZCruise for all our cruises out of Galveston except for the first two.  We didn't know anything about them.  You can see all the cruises we have done out of Galveston and have never been disappointed in their service.  They go above and beyond.  I won't go into details but on our last cruise brought a low van to take me back to pick up our vehicle, I was afraid I couldn't make the step into one of their buses.  They are great.

    Re: Parking?? EZ Vs Lighthouse

Last November, when I was trying to decide between EZ and Lighthouse, I almost got the impression they are the same company or are affiliated somehow.  I ended up going EZ because I used them before and was happy with them.

FWIW, I think Lighthouse has nicer shuttle vehicles?  But hey, I got there.  The driver was friendly and careful.  My car was in the same shape as when I left it.  You save $5 when you book online (with either).  I'm happy.  Wish Mobile had the same deal.
