I had room 6365 on my last cruise, and it was right over guy who sings in the hallway right by the casino bar.  It was LOUD!  If I would have known, I would have tried to have my cabin changed... Did it ruin my cruise?  HECK NO!!

We just got back from the 8/1 Freedom cruise and had a great time.  Friends of ours had 6300 and 6262 and said the rooms were great.  Hope this helps.

Looks like Carnival has upgraded the category of the room.  They can charge more for a higher category cabin.

carnival just did an update on the way the have the cabin prices set up... there is no difference but the next people who have the cabin will most likely be paying more for it since they gave it a higher letter....  I think they just like to keep people confused...

Re: has anyone had this room? Stateroom 4d #6361

    tekel8,

there is a great little site called   seauonboard.com   has all the ships of carnival except the new Dream on it.    On the side is a list of choices, the first is Cruise 101, the basics, click it, then it has a FYI on cabin selection, tells you a lot of stuff, then when you continue to scroll/read it will get into specific cabins on specific ships.  Not only does it give the worst cabins and why, it also gives ideas for good buys on balconys for the money and things like what floor the laundry rooms are located on.   The site has a lot of good information for first time cruisers.

I've only been on 3 cruises, 2 of my cabins were on the very warm side one I could adjust very well and was very nice.  I brought a small fan in case it was warm and I could not adjust well and it was needed in the Glory.  I also brought a small extension plug as they usually only have one wall socket in the room.  I love cruising, If I could afford it I would go every 2 months, or go home every 2 months.... haha.

Thanks Dragonrider. I do go on that site and it is very helpful. They didnt have my room# as a bad room but i found out its over the casino band. I just thought maybe someone actually had the room and could give me a better idea. Also, is there a/c in the cabins? Im goin in Feb but i always get hot. I want to bring a fan but i hate to pack more. Im worried about the size of my suitcase already because if its to big im in trouble. I just bought it but i worry about everything!

Re: has anyone had this room? Stateroom 4d #6361

tekel8, they have a/c and heaters and the rooms are individually controled.  But, I have been on 3 ships, 2 rooms were very warm and one I could control very well and I could keep much cooler.  I found a tiny high speed fan that worked very well, as I was concerned for space, I have a tendency to over pack, I like having a choice to what I want to wear.  They carry your bags to your rooms and will carry them out of your rooms through customs, which does help.   Be sure and keep one change of clothes in a small carry on bag that you carry with you in case your bag is delayed some or one of the last one delivered, they have a lot of baggage and someone has to be last.  But usually its there right there in plenty of time for dinner.  Carry a small multi plug extension cord that will fit in your suitcase, there is only one plugin in your room.  Get there early, they have a nice spread while you wait for your room to be ready.   Some people carry soft drinks on board or bottled water or buy the soft drink cards which are so much a day per adult/ and a little less per child.  Price wise it's much cheaper than buying one coke at a time if you drink more than 2 a day.  I know you all will have such a grea time.  The best is no cooking, cleaning, or worrying about driving or how to get there... it's all right there.  The kids I saw in the clubs looked like they were having a blast.  I know some of the ones that have cruised more are more jaded on the food, but I thought the food was fanatastic and the service was outstanding.  Dressing up and going to dinner just added to the atmosphere.  Do try the melting cake, and the Grand Mariner Soufle on the last night (they only serve that on the last night).  And if there are 2 deserts that keep you from wanting to try it ... get both and share.. it' worth it.
