Travel [ap] Good places to eat by the JAX airport?

We are flying in a day early & would like to know where some good places to eat near the JAX airport.  I've heard that the MillHouse Restaurant is good for steaks.  Can anyone vouch for this place?

Happy Cruising! - Is there any other kind?

I live in Jacksonville and have been there several times and have not been disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and there are not other tables right on top of you. I do not think that you would not have a bad meal there.

Are there any fast-food places in the area?

I recommend the Millhouse as well.  It is good food but be careful to ask prices as they seem to nickel and dime things if you know what I mean.  But the food is good and the bldg is beautiful!  There are typical fast food places around there as well.

I have never eaten there.  We're planning on going to the Longhorn Steakhouse.  http://www.longhornsteakhouse.com/Locator/stateResults.asp?Abbreviation=FL

Re: Good places to eat by the JAX airport?

In case anyone reads this just looking for info, here is a list of place to eat close to the airport.  I may not get all of them as there are a lot of small places that have popped up but here are a few.  Ruby Tuesdays, Longhorn Steakhouse, Millhouse, Chik-Fillet, Dennys, Waffle House, Red Lobster, Chili's, Salsarita's, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, McDonalds, Hardys, Taco Bell, Arbys, there's a Subway in the WalMart, Starbucks, Paneras, a lot of small Japenese/Chinese/Asian restaurants.  There are quite a few to choose from now that they have put the River City Marketplace up there and I know that I have left a few off.

On Dunn Avenue which is not far from the airport, there are a lot of budget plases to eat- Cici's pizza, Shoneys, etc.  Also if you go to the Regency Mall area which is not too far, there are thousands of places to eat.

We ate at the Ruby Tuesdays on 11-1.   My meal was fine had  Parm Chicken Pasta.   Had to send my DW steak back to be recooked.  We stayed at the comfort suites.   Excellent Hotel.
