    Party Boat

Has anyone been on the party boat? Is it worth it?

I assume you mean the Yellowbird.we have been on it twice, and this Oct.will make it a third time.So is it worth it,Hell Yeah. The $36.00 p.p gets you UNLIMITED rum punch, which is quite good, reggae music from a live band, great scenery for pics on the way to a private beach, where you can snorkle, swim,or lay in a chair on the beach.Being on a triple deck party boat,it holds quite a few people, all fun loving partiers.

Sounds like my kind of excursion. How long is it usually?

I was on the Yellowbird a couple of years ago.  It was great.  One thing I forgot to do was bring sunscreen.  I looked like the lobster they served for dinner that night.  Definately worth the money!!

YEAH!  That is exactly what I was hoping to hear.  Does the boat go by the Atlantis?  I would love to get some pictures from the water.  Thanks.

It gets close enough to take pics.My son took some last year.Great moderator on the Yellowbird too,the leader of the band narrates the trip to the beach, and sings on the way back.Stick out tongue My son took some great pics with his cellphone-cam.

    Re: Party Boat

Would any of you who have been on the Yellowbird know if there are any jet ski rentals or parasailing vendors on the island they take you to?  I know that you can snorkel but was curious to know if there was anything else offered there.  Thank you!

You are only on the island for about an hour - don't think you would have time. The beach is beautiful and a quick swim freshens you up for the ride back and more rum punch!

Now it may seem like a silly question. But is the Rum Punch a Spiced Rum or regular rum? I know like I said silly. We are trying to decide to do that or something else.

Hi BarbieLuddy - I believe it was regular rum - and I can assure you it was yummy! My Mom and daughter are still saying it was the best excursion ever! I agree. May have to do it again in September! Good luck with your decision.

It wasn't quite "regular" rum,it was 151 rum,as in 151 PROOF rum, lol. And if your drink isn't strong enough....cuz it is pre-made,they will add more rum for you without a problem. We have been on it twice, going for a third this oct.

Thank you. I just really dislike Spiced Rum. We were suppose to go to Cozumel and we had everything planned out then this whole Swine Flu crap. Anyways. Thank you so much for the help. That helped make up my mind.
