We are taking our 2nd cruise with carnival 0n 11/29/09 with two other couples from New Braunfels,tx. We have all booked ajoining balcony suites on the rear of the vahranda deck.

It's our 3rd cruise with Carnival, 1st on Conquest. Balcony on upper deck. We are from Boerne, unless you are some of those from the area that hate Boerne. Then we're not.

We just made our reservations 2 hours ago and we're (I'm) PSYCHED!!!!!  We were married on the Conquest 11/16/08, so this will be our post-honeymoon anniversary cruise.  With the wedding and all, we could only afford the outside cabin then, but we're doing a balcony this time!!

By the way, DH lived in NB (his ex and kids are there now), and I PRAY you're not bringing any of them with you!!!  And I used to work in Boerne and it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  In fact, I'm wearing a pair of boots I bought in Boerne right now!

Only 240 more days!!!

Awesome can't wait either, This is our 15 year anniversary cruise. NOPE, NO KIDS WITH US. Leaving ours with in-laws planning on enjoying massive quantities of adult beverages of choice on our balcony. OH yea maybe some coffee in the mornings.

What excursions are ya'll thinking about. We r tossing around parasailing, beach party, Scuba Diving. Mostly just enjoying each other and the time together. Have ya'll heard Carnival has now implimented any time seating for dinners. My travel agent called me yesterday, we had ours changed to anytime seating.

You dive??????  AWESOME!!!!!!!  I dive, Mike doesn't.  Do you and your wife both dive?  My family goes to CZM all the time and we use a certain dive shop there that's not on the Carnival excursion list.  If you'd like to try it out as well, it's Scuba Shack.  The woman that runs it (Roberta) also owns Blue Bubble. 

Other than diving (Mike snorkels or watches me dive from the boat), we don't have any excursions planned .... yet.  On our wedding cruise last year, the waters were sooooo choppy that we couldn't stop in Jamaica and watched out the window as we cruised right past the island.  The next day we were to stop in Grand Cayman but, because the waters were still rough, all the water excursions were closed.  We ended up at Margaritaville!  Mike wants to do the excursions we missed, but I don't care one way or the other.  We were going to do the Martha Brae river ride in MoBay and the Reef and Rays thing in GC. 

I'm so glad you'll be able to enjoy this cruise and each other without the kids.  I believe it's really important that you be able to do that.

About the new seating time for dinner, we opted out of that and chose the late seating (again).  We enjoyed showing up for dinner on time and heading right to our table where the menus and our drinks were waiting for us.  We also truly enjoyed the personal service we had with our wait staff each night.  You just don't get that anywhere else.  On top of that, our Cruise Planner said that there's a chance that we might have to wait for a table if we use that anytime seating and just show up.  Who knows, some may really like it a lot better.

 Is there any one else out there on this cruise or are we going to have the whole boat to ourselves.

Being the cheapskate that I am, I just wanted to report that the Early Saver ticket price just went up to $749 a few minutes ago!  I hope ya'll got in on the $699 price when it was there. 

I know we need to live through the summer months until our cruise time, but we can always get on here to chat and swap stories.  Hope to hear from you soon!!

Hey, Americana!  How's it going?  I know these L O N G days are just trudging by for us, too!

A good friend of mine from work and a good friend DH's from work both left on different cruises with their families last Sunday and we're so jealous!  Every day we're looking at which port their cruises are in and it's so depressing!  DH's friend has never cruised and they're on the Conquest Western to Key West and the Bahamas.  He sent us a camera pic of a Monkeyhead and it brought a tear to my eye.  My friend is on the Legend that sailed out of Florida.  It's funny.  The people who went out of Galveston went to Florida and the people that went out of Florida went to Roatan and Belize.  We can't wait 'til they all get back to share their stories!

I posted earlier that the balcony prices went up.  Actually, I'm not so sure that they went up, but I just realized this morning that they simply ran out of the 8A cabins (which we booked), and are now offering the 8B cabins as the lowest balcony rate.  Looks like the rooms might be filling pretty early!

I ran into someone at a Bunco party last night who just got off the Conquest a few days ago.  She said it was awesome and the big screen TV was fantastic.  I'm so looking forward to that!  I just hope it won't be too terribly cold to prevent people from watching it at night.

 Everythings going pretty good here in New Braunfels. Every weekend when I can I go to the Galveston web cam and watch the Ectasay and Conquest come in and leave. My sister in law and brother in law were over last night looking at the slide show I made from our cruise last year. They leave 6/27 for their 1st cruise on the Ectasay.

We'll have to get together for a drink while on board and toast your aniversary. This will  be the honeymoon my wife and I never got to take.

I guess will have to keep this thread on the 1st page til somebody else joins us.
