    HELP WITH EXCURSONS

i need som eimput from expereinced mex riv. cruisers and i know this is the plasce to egt it. i am tryin gto decide on some excursions. heres the deal. i would like to snorkle and kayak but am not sure what is the besy way to go about it. thre is the clear bottom kayak & snorkle tour in cabo but i am not sure it has you snorkling at the best spot to snorkle in cabo. there is also the deel island nature presure & kayak tour in maz. sound good but no snorkling. the other possibility os the yelapa beach snorkle adventure. also no kayaking involved. i was thinking aboout just buying some snorkle gear to bring with me and then snorkling on my own in cabo. maybe just getting a boat and driver to drop us somewhere. so i could really use some feed back.

in pv:   las caletas beach hideaway,     yelapa snorkle adventure

in maz.:  deer island nature presure & kayak tour

in cabo: clear bottom kayak & snorkle

tell me what your know about any of these and i would be gratful. thanks in advance for your help

    Re: HELP WITH EXCURSONS

In 2004 we did the Las Laletas beach excursion.  There is about a 45 minute boat ride there and nice lunch along the ocean.  Then you can go snorkeling off of a platform on the landing dock. It was OK and I did see several varieties of fish. There was also kayaking (and I think horseback riding) available but I didn't do either of those.

    Re: HELP WITH EXCURSONS

We did the beach hideaway last August.  It was fine but the weather turned fowl on us and it started raining after we there for 90 minutes or so.  It then turned into a deluge and we ended up going back to the ship earlier than planned.  The beach was fine (it was sunny when we got there) and it was nice and quiet.  Too bad the rain ruined it for us.

A couple who sat with us at dinner to some country tour.  They said it was horrible as it was literally a tour of some old towns that were very poor.  They said that they stuck out badly since they were tourists.  Everyone on the tour was nervous about being robbed or the bus being hijacked so they were grateful when they got back to the ship.  When they told us their story that night, they were clearly happy that they got back okay.  You didn't mention this tour but thought I would pass that info along just in case!

    Re: HELP WITH EXCURSONS

Thanks for the update. The last time we did that excursion you could either snorkel, kayak, ride horses or just enjoy the area.  I had considered other excursions but we will give Las Caletas another try.  It looks like now they don't serve alcohol until you are done with water events (probably a good idea) and have eliminated the horse option.
