    Legend November 8, 2009

Hello!  Is anyone going on this cruise? My husband and I have been on several cruises before...first time for our two girls!  Does anyone recommend things to do with kids?  We have done the Stingray City trip in Grand Cayman and we have been to Cozumel...we don't know too much about the other two ports.  What about on board...will my kids have a good time?

    Thanks!

I was beginning to think we were going to be the only ones on the ship this week!  lol  There will be 4 of us - no kids, though.  Haven't yet planned our excursions - but we are spread out - 2 from New York State, 1 from California, and I'm in Georgia.  Cousins and our daughters.  Hope to see you on board!

There must be someone out there that is going to be on the Legend with us!  My goodness, we are 143 days away - I'm ready now, but have to wait.

Who will have kids with them?  What are you planning to do at each port?  Any special celebrations?

Come on!  Let's enjoy this experience now and later, too!

We will be joining you on the cruise and cannot wait!!  Several children will be traveling with our group.  I hope the ship will have enough fun activities for them.

Have you been cave tubing before?  We are considering that in Belize.

Still trying to find the best flight options - any suggestions for a hotel the night before?  We will need a room for 6 people.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello!  We will have our two girls with us...8 and 10.  We do plan on staying in Tampa the night before.  Hyatt Regency through Hotwire for $72!  Residence Inn may be able to accomodate the six of you!

Where are you coming from?  What are the ages of the kids?  We plan to go cave tubing/zip line and jungle tumble in Belize...through Jaguar Paw.  The 3 of them including lunch for $80...not bad!  We are going to stingray city in Grand Cayman...may rent a private boat.  Cozumel...I think a beach break thing and who knows in Isla Roatan!

Hi!  We are so excited.  Smile  We have two girls - 18 and 15 and a boy, 12.  There will be other children with our group who range in age from 8-16.

We live in Illinois - almost as far from the ocean as you can get!!  We will be going to Stingray City in GC, Wyndham in Cozumel, possibly cave tubing in Belize (not sure yet) and Roatan is up for grabs.

My name is Tracy, husband Greg.  Great to meet you!  We will be staying at Chase Suites the night before the cruise in Tampa.

Hello!  We are also very excited...103 days!!! I think we are going to go to the Wyndham in Cozumel also.  Jaguar Paw is the website for the cave tubing/zip line excursion that we are going to do in Belize.  We should try to meet up in Tampa before the cruise.

How old are the other kids that will be joining you?

Hey everybody Cruise Critic is down this morning so I figured I would come over here and see what is going on I see some of yall are on CC also .

funmom we(Lori and I Bubba) also will be at the Chase Suites on Saturday before we load up for our funtastic cruise. We will have friends with us also and plan on eating at Bahama Breeze which is right next door. The Suites also have a courtesy van ,they drove us to the liquor store it was so nice not to have to drive after we got to the motel. It was also nice not to have to drive to and from  the cruise terminal just load your bags and hop in for the ride.

    See yall Bubba

Have you planned any excursions yet?  Any girls around 8 or 10 joining you?  We booked the wave runners in grand cayman, cave-tubing/zipline combo in Belize and nothing in Cozumel or Isla Roatan yet.  Probably something on the beach!

Our flight was changed so we get in to Tampa early on Saturday.  Have you booked your flights yet?

We will be flying in to Tampa on Saturday.  I cannot remember what time we arrive.  We booked with Native Way Water Sports in GC and will be cave tubing in Belize.  We are undecided about Roatan, still.....and have changed our minds about Cozumel - we are now planning to go to Chankanaab Park.

I am getting more excited now that we are less than two months away.  We will be staying at the Chase Suites hotel in Tampa, will you be nearby?  I have not been to Tampa since I was a child so I do not know the area at all!!  Hope to find a nice place for dinner Saturday.

My son is sooooo excited!  There is an 8 yr. old girl traveling with our group.  They will be staying at the Chase Suites too.

    Tracy

We fly in on Saturday morning.  We are staying at the Hyatt Downtown. We are planning on taking the girls to Ybor City for the little festival they have(or at least they used to have) on Saturday afternoon.  There are plenty of places/things to do at Channelside.  We will probably head there for dinner Sat. night.

We are doing the waverunners to stingray city in GC.  What company did you go through for cavetubing?  We went through Jaguar Paw...$80 for cavetubing/zipline/jungle tumble and lunch!  We were hoping to find some other people going through the same company from our ship....safety in numbers!!!  Roatan, we still have not decided...maybe some guide that can show us around and take us to the beach!  Cozumel...I think Paradise Beach...the girls can play on the water toys there...maybe parasailing!

Let me know if you guys have any definite plans in Tampa...maybe we can meet up before we get on the ship!

    Re: Legend November 8, 2009

Our party is 4 - my cousin and her DD - Both from Rochester, NY and my DD who lives in San Diego and me - from Atlanta - we will all be flying in on Saturday - Cuz will be in during the day - we won't be arriving until very late Sat night.  We are all staying at the airport Mariott - don't even need to leave the terminal to get to the hotel, I guess.  Booked thru Carnival.

We have not firmly decided on any excursions yet - in Belize we will be going to the ruins - my DD is a history teacher and said she isn't traveling this far NOT to see some history!

I am more than ready for November!  After the rain we have had in Atlanta this month, I think the Legend could float to my back door and pick me up, though!  LOL... I guess it's nothing to joke about, and pray for those who have been affected by the flooding.

    See ya all in 47!

    Re: Legend November 8, 2009

We do not have any definite plans in Tampa.  I will check with everyone and let you know, it sounds like we are staying quite a distance from Channelside.  What is the festival in Ybor?  I will try to get some details online.

We have not booked the cave tubing yet.  I have looked at Jaguar Paw and Uncle Tom's - not sure yet.  Zip lining!  You are brave, my son and I prefer to be grounded.  My husband is considering zip lining with a friend - we will book when they decide what to do.  Parasailing is so much fun - you and the girls will have a wonderful time.

Only 47 days to go!!  Do you know where your cabin is yet?  We are on the sixth level, I will check the cabin numbers and post them later this week.

The festival in Ybor is just a little parade and some shopping and food stands.  I have not been there for several years so things may have changed!  We booked through Jaguar Paw so we could do everything together and so we didn't have as far to hike.

Our cabin is just an inside cabin on the lowest deck.  We went with the absolute cheapest since we have done all the different cabins and we don't really care where we sleep!  Oh well...more money to spend other places!

We leave the Friday before so we really only have 44 days left now...my vacation begins when I walk out the door!!!  Yeah!

    Re: Legend November 8, 2009

We booked inside cabins, too.  We had to have four person cabin's to make the trip a little more affordable.

I am sooo ready for November!  Funny how we wish time away and later end up wondering where it all went!!
