Glad to hear back from you.  Spencer didn't go to Camp Carnival on the last cruise and he doesn't think he will on this one either.  We need to coordinate with Rob where we ALL can meet on the 1st day.  We are not flying in until Saturday so we are down to a couple of days to make the plans!!!!!  We are really excited to get there and see the ship.  Any suggestions where and when to meet................

I have no idea...hopefully, Rob can come up with something since he has been on this ship before.  Not sure if my son will go to Camp Carnival either....we will just leave that up to him.  Have a safe flight.  We will be driving down on Friday, but I really don't see us getting there until after 9pm.  Just in time to crash...if any of us can sleep.

Lorraine,  Rain, not really sure about that.  Have you checked the web-site accuweather.com?  I looked at it earlier today and doesn't seem to mention very much about rain.  What it does indicate is perhaps a scattered shower or so, some days supposed to be more clouds than sun....sounds like partly sunny to me.  Check this site out.

Hey Rob...I was reading alot on cruise critics and saw someone saying that dirty word "tropical depression"...I just about flipped.  I don't really think it's going to be much, I went to weatherunderground.com ...I'm hoping it will just be an isolated shower here and there (like Florida). 

Lorraine, Best thing I can suggest if that you, me and anyone else who wants to follow the weather forecast for our ports of call is to keep checking accuweather.com  and weatherunderground.com.  At this point St Thomas and St Maarten, being our last 2 stops might what we concentrate checking up on, but I suppose we do need to check on the weather for Nassau on May 24-sunday.

Lorraine,  Hi, its Rob again.  I coulnd't make much sense of weatherunderground, but the worst ACCUWEATHER.COM had to say was the St Thomas would be mostly cloudy with sun peeking thru at times-only maybe a shower.  Pretty much the same for St Maarten.  Hope that settles your nerves a bit.  Don't forget, St Thomas will be next tuesday and St Maarten on wednesday.  Considering the amount of time before we get into that region, we might end up with more sun than clouds.  At this point its much too early to place too much confidence into what might be someone's interpretation into what they may have read.  Am I an expert on this,  no way!  Have always been interested in weather and reading weather maps.  Do I know why...nope, haven't the faintest idea, just enjoy reading them and trying to plot which direction storms might travel.  In the Caribbean, don't forget water temperature has a major impact on this stuff, wind direction.  All that sort of thing.  Anyway, now that I have bored you...I will let you go.

  I know you'll make the most out of whatever situation you have just by reading your replies to everyone. The weather is always iffy this time of year. Usually there are short showers that pop up and dissipate almost as easily. Y'all will have fun no matter what!

Good Morning Rob...I believe this is all going to be blown over by the time we get there anyhoo (I have faith).... I went to both weather sites - I use weatherunderground when there are hurricanes brewing - it's pretty good for that - but right now it's not showing much so I guess that means "There is nothing to Show"...ha 

Did you read any of the post about the Mountain Top in St. Thomas?  I was really wanting to try one of those banana daiquiris everyone keeps talking about - guess it will be a Miami Vice on the cruise ( I love these).  Can you believe day after tomorrow we will be heading to Florida?  I am soooooooooo ready to be cruising.

Lorraine,  Yes, Yesterday I read the post about Mountain Top burning down.  Yes again, I heard abouth those great banana daiquiris, guess not this time!  I too like those Miami Vice drinks on the cruise.  We gotta start deciding where and when to meet while on the cruise.  Usually best place is at one of the bars.  If your son and Kim's son are with you when we get together, they do serve water or pop.  There is a bar at the back of the ship, its on the Lido Deck and located by the pool back there.  Perhaps during sail away or the first day at sea we might like to get together there.  I mention this location because when I sailed the Glory in January thats where myself, my daughter Katie and 4 other couples got together.  You should find that both getting to know other people on this forum, and then being able to meet them and put their face with their(our) names is really nice. 

Let me know what you think about when/where we will get together.

I think I'm following you Lorraine to the banana daiquiris.  That sounds delicious. 

I'm at work just thinking about how much time left til I can soak up the sun and have a nice cool drink.  Sounds really, really  good!!!!

Kim,  Mountain Top has burned to the ground.  Happened within the past week?  Anyway, they made their famous banana daiquiris soooooooo, now have to find another place off the ship to find em.  Hmmm, wonder if the are available at Paradise Point.  Its right next to the pier in St Thomas....gonna check and see.  Will let u know.

Seeing as MountainTop burned down, we can't get their famous banana daiquiris any longer, however I just checked www.paradisepointtramway.com and it seems as tho they have one potent, looks like VERY potent drink...Bailey's Bushwacker.  Visit the site and check on 'limon'...think thats what it says, take a look what goes into making this drink.  If I have 1 of them, I will be feeling NO pain!
