    MrsTiz,

I saw that you did the 8am excursion. I am doing the Stingray Waverunner Adventure, which goes to Rum Point. I was wondering how you made out doing an early excursion? Were you there on time? Was it a hassel? We have a meeting time of 8:20am and the taxi leaves at 8:30am. I'm worried about getting a tendor and being there on time.

    Thanks!

    Melissa

It was pretty crowded to catch the tenders, but they let those that have the earlier excursions off of the ship first...and let me tell you, they pack 'em in on those tenders.  We had a slight delay because of an elevator issue (no big deal) and were a little late getting over to meet on the shore, but they waited for us.  There are many tours going on, and everyone is running around with their clipboards and checklists, making sure that everyone is there before they leave.   I think you'll be fine, just make sure you get down to the Toulouse Lounge as early as possible.  Have a great cruise!!  Let me know how you like the waverunner excursion!!

To be honest, there is only one stingray city, so I choose to do the cheaper of the two because in the end, I'm still going to be there and swimming with the stingrays. I loved it. Our guide even stopped along the Atoll and went Conch diving and brought up 10 of them. He cleaned them up and had a few of us eat a few. Taste just like lobster. Anyway, those that ate it got to keep the shell. I loved it!

We did Dunn's River Falls two years ago and it is very pretty, but you are climbing the whole time and they way the falls are naturally terraced, you never really see all of it at once to appreciate it. We just got back last week and this time we did the Great Barrier Reef snorkeling. It is beautiful!!! I would highly recommend this one and the price is good.

For Cayman island, I loved the land and sea combo... We went to see the Turtle Farm and then we went to interact with the stingray... Nice very nice, loved everybit of it. Dunn's River was awesome too, very active excursion with all the climbing, but it was great. I have the dvd they offer of you climbing the falls and the video came out Nice.....

    So sign up!

Do we have a choice as to what time.

Not usually.  There is typically one excursion for any given thing offered on the boat.  They'll give you enough time to do the excursion and be back in time to shop a little, or have time to shop a little and then do the excursion.  And with very few exceptions [i.e., Tulum Ruins, which eats up pretty much the entire shore time] this is the way it works.

Do we get off the ship before the other guest?

While Cayman is a tender port, the transit time for the tenders is really quite rapid.  Most ships don't even bother with tender tickets.  Go line up, get on the tender, five minutes later you're on the dock and looking for the guy holding your excursion sign.

    sorry about all the ?'s

    Sorry about the answers.

I saw this excursion on Tripadvisor.com today and it interested me for two reasons.  1)The reviews are awesome 2) I like that he keeps his groups to smaller more intimate numbers.  I don't think you can book through Carnival with this, but I'm not sure.  Just offering another option:)

Could you please elaborate on the beginning SCUBA excursion. We were thinking about doing that one in November. What do you get to see underwater? reefs? stingrays? turtles? fish?

    thanks,
