IF you only did one excursion ever on Grand Cayman .....

What would it be?  I am going with my 28 yr old daughter, fit as a fiddle, 50 yr old sister, pretty good shape, and myself 54, bad feet but can handle pain.  What's best?

We have booked two tours in GC, but the three-in-one Discover Cayman - Stingrays, Hell & Turtle Farm seemed to us a great deal.  You see 7-mile beach, check out the turtles, see "Hell" (as small as it is), and then feed and snorkel with the stingrays, have a few drinks, and take lots of pictures to remember forever.  Have a great cruise! Cool

    Cheers

The stingrays are a must. There are a lot of different excursions that include stingray city. Have a great time.

I would have to agree with the first two posts---you should do the stingrays!!  I did this on my first cruise, and I am going back to Grand Cayman this April with 8 friends.  I am trying to convince them to do this excursion so I can do it again!!  It was completely amazing to have wild stingrays swimming all around you.  We even got to hold a baby stingray that was the size of a dinner plate!!  Awesome excursion!!!!

You got a baby stingray, that would be cute. Our group held, kissed and had one on our back that had a 'wing' span of about 4ft and was over 6ft in length. What an experience!

Just got back and did the Beginner SCUBA diving. We did this a couple years ago in St. Maarten and this was much better. The water was great, the instructor's were great, and in a couple of hours I'll find out if my pictures are great!

Re: IF you only did one excursion ever on Grand Cayman .....

We did the Stingray Tour and Rum Point Beach...and it was wonderful!!!  As a matter of fact, we'll be doing the exact same excursion when we go back in Jan. '10.  We did the 8am excursion, the stingrays are more active...the first feeding of the day, and there are a lot more of them.  Some others in our group from the cruise ship did the Hell, Turtle Farm and Stingrays, and said there weren't as many later in the day and weren't as active.  They were amazed at our pictures of all the stingrays.  Rum Point Beach is AWESOME!!!  Very low key and laid back.  There's a place to grab some food and a drink, and a souvenior shop, and the beautiful beach.  You don't get to spend nearly enough time here is the only thing...but well worth every minute that you do get to spend.  There aren't any water toys, trampolines or extras here like at 7 Mile Beach, but that's ok.  I suggest enjoying the beach and using the time to explore it.  If you do this excursion, you won't be dissappionted!! Cool

The price at Cayman Turtle Farm/Boatswains Beach just got much better!!! They have a new site up now. Price is $45 and includes transportation. They also offer a 20% discount for online booking.

    MrsTiz;

Your review was great for us!! This will be our 3rd trip that includes GC and we were starting to wonder what to do (we're not snorklers or divers), so we booked the Sting Ray - Rum Point Beach excursion. Your review answered all our questions, appreciate the detail. I'm sure we'll have a great time, thanks again.

I'm doing the stingray city, hell, and turtle excursion. I've done this excursion before and loved it. The only difference that I'm going to make is take pre-printed address labels of all the friends you want to send Post Cards from Hell. Makes it easier to remember addresses and less writing. Who wouldn't want a post card from Hell. :)

Re: IF you only did one excursion ever on Grand Cayman .....

I want to do this excursion also (the stingray, hell, and turtle farm combo) but am not sure which one to pick on the Carnival site.  There are two that sound almost identical, but one is $65 and one is $75, does anyone know what the difference is?

I think it's just a different tour group. I choosed the Discover Cayman one. I believe it's a longer tour.

    Hi Ladywolfmyst,

Would you please post about your excursion - how was it?

I too am seeing 2 different excursions that list the same 3 activities but at 2 different prices.

Wondering what the difference might be.

    Thank you!

    Happy Cruising! :) Trish
