Greetings to Rog and all fellow cruisers, I feel much better about my twelve hour drive from NC now Sgt Glenn. When will you start your journey? I have one question about the "Pub Crawl". Is it required that you crawl from bar to bar, or only after you can no longer stand to go otherwise? Well, as mother used to say " I'll see you soon if the good lord tarries and the creek don't rise" keep the updates coming folks

Hey Nadine, Kaye here!!  Sorry about the mix up, I must already be suffering from the effects of the "Pub Crawl"!!!  Would love to try the German sweets!!!  (Rog, I'll let Nadine answer about the knee pads, she is the "Pub Crawl" expert!!)  Sounds like we will have a pretty diverse group, that keeps it interesting!!!

Can't wait to meet everyone on the Lido deck!!!

     Hey Rog, hey folks,

not a bad idea to wear knee protectors. What a funny appearance if a couple of grown ups are sitting like that at the bar. Perhaps we should all need our belts to claps at the bar :)  and don´t forget about the Tylenol for the hangover!!

Ok, now switching the tpoic; anyone going to the gym for working out?

    Re: ROLL CALL 11/04/2009

We plan on leaving at about 3:00 am on Tuesday November 3rd.  It is about a 16 hour drive straight through. Hopefully we will arrive in Ft. Lauderdale sometine around 7pm. As far as thr crawl goes , I usually utilize the "Army style" crawl so no knee pads needed for me.   Karen does plan on hitting the gym each day at see, and I may go with her just to watch, because there is no need for me to try and improve what it has taken 45 years to build. It is was it is!!!!!

Things are starting to get exciting!!!  The anticipation is definitely building!!  I also plan to go to the gym, but I always plan to, and normally only go for the first day or two, after that, everything is always a BLUR!!!  Has anyone made a list of the pubs?  I wonder how many there are?

We have decided to drive in the morning of the cruise and will park at the port.  This is our first time leaving from this port, has anyone ever parked there before??  Do they have valet??

    See you all soon!!!

Greetings fellow cruisers,   in two weeks we will be on board and underway and thinking about dinner (at least I will). Sounds like the day before will be a very long one Sgt. Glenn calling for loads of caffine. I tend to agree with you about exercise it's rather like work in that I can watch it for hours. (I'm not above stealing an old joke). Honestly no form of crawling is good for me. A very small amount might leave me like that woman in those old commercials who has fallen and can't get up and that is without any help from alcohol. As to parking I think, (and I'm in the midst of a senior moment here) that we left from there last year on a seven day and there was valet and the cost was one hundred then. If my memory serves, it was very much worth the cost. See everyone soon!!!!!!

Only 11 more days to go!!!  Nadine, when are you flying over?   Volleyball sounds like a lot of fun, perhaps we can get a game going.  Not sure what excursions we will be doing, mom wanted to go parasailing, but after learning more about St. Maarten, I think she now wants to explore the island.  One thing we may do is go and watch the planes land at the beach bar, as Nadine suggested.  (However, I looked it up, and the website said that after dark, they served topless women for free.  Told mom I would have to get her out of there before dark, so she wouldn't try to get a free drink.  Ha, Ha!!!)  Anyone planning to get a massage on the beach in St. Kitts be wary, I will explain on board.

Hope everyone is planning to meet on the Lido for a drink, I think Nadine suggested the bar at the back of the ship.  Don't remember the name.

    Talk to you all soon!!

     Hey there,

Kay, I will fly into Miami next sunday. I come over to Fort Lauderdale on tuesday, I will spent the morning in the everglades and the afternoon in the Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall. I´ve booked the La Quinta Inn around the corner of the Mall :)

I love volleball so we can start a game at a day on sea !!

Well I do the zip line on St. Kitts, hopefully great fun!

We should catch a taxibus  to sea the planes land on St. MaartenAiport, I think there are some people here who would like to sea :)

Meet u soon on LIDO Deck :)

Nadine and all, taxibus sound like a good plan!!!  Remember, we have to get mom out before dark.  (Ha, Ha!!!)  We are really getting excited, hope everyone is also!!  Just got off the phone with mom, she served herself breakfast in bed this morning, I asked her if she is practicing for the cruise!!  She is officially retired now, but has been called back in a couple of times this last week to assist the new management.  I don't think she will really get to enjoy the feeling of retirement, until we are on the ship with no way for them to contact her!!  We will look for everyone on the Lido deck, if all goes well, mom will be wearing the green lei with the flashing retirement button.  Should be easy to spot!!
