Hey Pam and everyone!!  Mom and I are SOOOOO ready for this cruise.  She seems to be getting more excited this time than she has in a long time.  She says it's because, since she is retiring, she won't have to worry about business back home, she'll just be able to RELAX and enjoy.  I hope so!!  That is my one goal, to make sure my mother has the most incredible time of her life, and to have no WORRIES!!!  Are you guys driving in and parking your car at the terminal??  We are in between driving down Tuesday and staying the night somewhere, or staying here at my place in Tampa, and driving down Wednesday morning.  As for shore excursions, the only thing I am pretty sure we are doing, is the parasailing.  Mom is really looking forward to it!!  Hope to meet everyone on board for a drink when we get there, and still planning a little cocktail hour in our cabin to celebrate mom's retirement.  Let the CHAMPAGNE flow freely!!!

Down to 46 days people, less since we'll drive down and stay over the night before. We do plan to just leave our car at the terminal parking lot. We've done this a few times and although it costs a hundred or so we at least can just load into the car and start off. No further line waiting or loading and unloading. On our last trip we met with our on line friends the first sea day in one of the bars and made some lasting contacts. Actually going to dinner with one of the couples tonight while they are in Asheville.

    We like tours that involve water and not long drives to destinations. Hoping to do Shipwreck Cove in St. Marteen maybe other snorkel things at others. Nadine has spoken of seeing where the airport landings take place in Marteen so may work that in too if possible while we're there.

Oh, and, HAPPY RETIREMENT ANNIE MAE, hope someday someone can say that to us. Can't wait to meet everyone.

Well dear cruising friends, we have 4 days on sea....maybe we should start a pub-crawl one of these days :)

The last cruise I was on we were a couple of people, we all bought those carnival shirts and wrote the name of every bar on this shirts. Purpose was to go to every bar and to check it on the shirt. It was soooo funny and we ha such a great time.We spent a whole day on sea to do this pup-crawl (including several snacks for sure). And now I have a nice and memorable shirt and I always have to smile when I see this garment.

 Pam!!! I am really soo sorry.

Pam, sorry to hear about your misfortune!!  You will still have a GREAT time!!  I actually had one of those "sporty" black boots on last November, when my mother and I took my sister and brother on a cruise.  I would take mine off at night to wear my very low heels to dinner, (suffering quietly), but other than that, I still had a great cruise.  We even have beach pictures with the "sporty" black boot!!

Denise, we have never done a PUB CRAWL on the ship before.  When mom and I did the Alaskan cruise, we wanted to try every bar in Juneau, I think there were only about 24 or so, but we only made three or four.  Would love to do it on the ship, sounds like a lot of fun!!!

Mom wants to thank everyone for the good tidings she is receiving about her retirement.  She is actually training her replacement, (though, no one can really replace mom),  she should be off work in about a week and a half.  She will then be on consultant status, but not have to totally worry about everyday operations of the place.

Still haven't totally made up our minds about shore excursions, but hope to soon.  Looking forward to meeting everyone for a drink SOON!!!

Hello everyone!!  Only 19 more days to go!  Welcome aboard Rog, it's nice to see more people joining.  Maybe we can all meet somewhere when we get onboard for a drink.  And yes Denise, we will have to get the "Pub Crawl" going, maybe we should all start with the monkey head drink and move on from there. One evening mom and I want to have everyone over to our cabin, for a drink and snacks.  It's been a lot of fun in the past!!  Keep this post alive and going!!!  See you all soon!

Well, I am from Germany; I live near Cologne...in the western part...about half an hour away from the border to the netherlands. The last two days it´s freezing in Germany and it´s really getting cold. Time to leave for the Caribbean!!

Cruisin´K...hey, I am not Denise, I am Nadine and I really want to do this pub crawl. Starting with the monkey head and crawling from bar to bar sounds fun. Don´t forget your sunglasses :) Your invitation for the little celebration of your mums retirement sound great. I will bring along some typical german sweets which are prefered for the winter time, called "Aachener Printen"...mhhh...delicious :)

What´s about catching up at the Orpheus Bar on Lido deck for a cool drink while leaving Port Everglades ?!?!?

Jeff and I will be coming from Asheville North Carolina.

We re very excited time is drawing near only 19 days.

We will meet wherever you all want to meet. Can't wait to put  face to all of you we have been on here for what over 100 days now. My neice and her boyfriend will be traveling with us Alyson and Bryan it's there 1st cruise so I can't wait to share such great memories with them.

Update on my broken leg: Went to doctor this week and he took off the cast and put on a sexy black boot. Maybe i can get rid of cruthes before the cruise. I don't care going to have a great no matter what.
