My husband and I along with my parents and 2 year old are going to be there... anyone else???

I want to fall asleep and wake up on January 30th!!! LOVE 2 CRUISE!!!

My parents and I will be sailing with you.  It is my Christmas gift to them and we are all excited to get on that ship and relax.  (I know that my count-down clock still says Destiny.  That was our original cruise but I decided that five days wasn't enough and changed to the Liberty!) 

We are paid in full and although my parents know about the cruise, they don't know that I booked a Cat 11!  I can't wait to see how surprised my mom is.  She will have finished up her chemo treatments about one month before we sail so it will be a good break for her too.  We have a lot to celebrate with her completion of chemo and my being home (although just temporarily) from Afghanistan.

Hope to see you on board in 112 days!

McGyver,  I'm envious of your aft balcony.  I'm booked in an aft balcony on the Legend for May 31st but they don't accomodate three people so I couldn't book one for this cruise.  So -- instead I decided to really splurge and go for a Cat 11.  We are booked in 7329.  I think that the extra room in the Cat 11 will be good anyway since I'm cruising with my parents.  Should give us a little more space to "make our own".

Only 105 days to go.  Getting so close to double digits.

It's starting to get pretty cold here in Afghanistan so I suspect we will have snow before long.  I will definitely be ready to get away from here for a while come January.

Julia...very nice cabin a suite..wish we could afford one of those...maybe one of these years....

Just a little over 3 months and we're onto the great big blue ocean with lots os warm sunshine....can hardly wait..wish it would come a little quicker.

 Living in Canada we're starting to get the cold weather as well, will probably see snow by mid November..so this cruise can't come quick enough...

Hope you're not in the Kandhar region of Afganistan..stay safe!

The suite is definitely a splurge and something that I am not likely to repeat again soon.  It is a little bit easier on the pocketbook for me right now as I've been over here earning tax free pay which is kind like pennies from heaven.  Plus the military discount that Carnival gives is phenomenal to say the least.  I feel very blessed.  My parents are more than worth the extra money for the suite and as I said, I am so excited to see my mom's face when she realizes what I did.  This will be a once in a lifetime thing for her as well.

No, I'm not in Kandahar.  I am up at Bagram in the north east and being a personnel officer, don't often have need to leave the wire so I am "relatively" safe if there is such a thing over here. It's all good though.  Only 164 more days to go before I'll be back on US soil.  I hestitate to say "for good" or permanently as it is quite likely I'll be right back over here in a few years.  But, only time will tell.

Anyway, stay warm through that bitter winter that will be hitting soon.  Hope to see you in 100 days!

Wow....I hope it's a balcony suite too!! Once you have had one it will be very hard not to do a repeat!!   Well, I can look at the set up for the suites on the Carnival site for your ship.  We had a balcony suite on our 1st cruise too (the military discount sure helps off set the cost of that) but now I am hooked and we also had one on our 2nd cruise and I will on our 3rd too.  I really would like to see a Penthouse Suite tho....hmmm maybe someday....I wish.

But keep counting down those days...

My husband and I are going to be on this sailing along with another couple. We can't wait.....only 94 more days!!!!! I tried starting a roll call a while back but I think the only one that responded was Julia and she was thinking of changing her cruise....and glad to welcome her onboard as I see she decided to join us :)

It is my husband's birthday so we will definately be celebrating AND not to mention that the kids are staying home!! I will miss them but it will be soooo much more relaxing.

We are heading out on our second cruise - last one was the Destiny Feb'08.  Our 2 kids (8 & 6 yrs) coming as well as another 2 couples!!  We are all sooooo excited and doing the double digit dance - 79 more days!!!!!!

My husband and I are also sailing on this cruise.  We are celebrating his birthday too  And our kids are headed south from Miami to the Keys with my wonderful parents. It's a win win!   I am so excited it borders on obsession! I am counting the days.  Looking over websites at things to do in port.  There is so much.... it's overwhelming, but very fun. We have balcony room and I just can't wait to wake up in the morning and see that view. Coffee on the balcony is going to be heaven. 

We are also going to be on the 1/31 liberty cruise.  Can't wait... only 60 days!!!!

I just realized we will be there on superbowl sunday, that should be cool, but i'll definitely lose my hubby that day, lol.  I'm just glad they have the big screen outside on the pool deck!!

There is nothing better than coffee on the balcony, I am closing my eyes and day dreaming of it right now!!!!! Only 8 weeks left !!!!!

Super Bowl Sunday eh? Wonder if the men already thought of this???? One of the guys in our party plays in the CFL bet this was all thought about well in advance - oh well bet the SPA will be full of women that day - sounds like a plan!!!!!

yeah I know my hubby actually thought that the superbowl was on 1/16 for some reason, so he was pleasantly surprised to find out we'll be on board that day.  it should actually be pretty fun, a new experience for sure :) 

yeah hubby thought the bowl was on the 16th of jan so he was pleasantly surprised.  It should be a good time.  I heard on another thread that they had beer sales on that day so we'll see.

 Yup, i bet the spa is FULL on sunday, lol..
