Just a word of warning,if I were you, I would not book through Carnival! The cost is the least of your worries, safety should be your main concern. I have been on several Carnival cruises, two this year alone, but I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. We booked the cave tour in Belize with the cruise line thinking that we would be in good hands, we were very sadly mistaken. After one death, several passengers coming near to drowning, only to be saved by other passengers, lots of stitches, cuts, bruises and passengers in total shock. We were left stranded on rocks in the middle of the river while the Carnival hired tour guides went back to the bus to try to make it to the ship on time. I had to search for my loved ones for almost two hours after being told one of them had passed away in the river. The tour guides that were booked by individuals stayed in the river to rescue the Carnival passengers. Once back on the Carnival Glory, we were met with the most unprofessional boat crew I have ever in countered. They were completely rude to all people involved and totally out of line with their treatment of thoes involved. I would HIGHLY recommend if you do book a cruise with Carnival that you AVOID booking the excursions through them. You will save lots of money, be treated with more respect and I personally believe you will be in better hands insuring the safety of yourself and the ones you love. Search Google for Carnival's passenger deaths while on the "fun" excursions, also check out the articals on the slave labor chargers from the GLORY, some as early as Feb. this year. Sorry if I come accross as trying to burn Carnival, I want now the same thing I wanted when I got back to the ship after our excursion: Not a dime of their money, just the piece of mind that they would not let it happen to anyone else. Since they refused me that simple request I have decided to warn as many people as I can. God Bless you and yours.
