    first cruise!

Hi everyone. I am new to this and my husband and I are goin on our first cruise on Jan 26th on the Destiny. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I alaways wanted to go on a cruise and finally doin it! Just wondering if anyone has ever been on the Destiny and what they thought of it. We decided to go in Jan since being from PA we can escape the cold and hopefully get some killer tans to take back and torture all of our friends with. lol  anyways it would be great to hear from some of you cruise addicts. Hopefully I can get some ideas on what to do and what to look forward to. thanks and anxious to hear feedback.

lefty, you've probably heard this before but it bears repeating. The sun's rays will burn you in a short time in the tropics. Take suntan lotion and don't stay out in the sun too long. Keep reading these boards for great info.

I would seriously advise getting a 30-day package at a local tanning salon before you go.  Even in the summer, there's a quarter of the folks who get absolutely lobstered the first day or two, and then they are unable to be out in the sun the rest of the cruise.

Thirty-two days before your plane leaves, go to Hollywood Tan, get a package, and get a nice coat of dark on you before your cruise.  Then with the SPF on deck, you'll avoid getting blistered.

    Hi Lefty,

Congratulations on your first cruise. Just like Don K posted make sure you watch the sun exposure because you can burned easy. Just be relaxed when boarding your ship. Sometimes the lines back up and it can be a little nerve racking but once your on the ship you will have a blast. Make sure you see the shows at night and the games around the lido deck pool. Try something on the menue that you would not try or fix at home.
