I should have started with we bring the dogs to someone's house.  The person has five kids so the dogs get to play.  We live in Bethel, CT (near Danbury)  I'm 30 and my husband is 29.  His parents are older (I think they'll kill me if I put their ages.  This will be our 4 cruise.  All with carnival.  I think we are going to go to NASA (we are space cadets) and then nothing in Nassau (expect last time we found this cool bar/rest. we are going to check out) and fishing in Freeport.

Is the fishing in Freeport the bottom fishing tour?  We did that about 2 years ago.  Hubby caught NOTHING and I caught some of the coolest, prettiest fish I have ever seen.

My hubby has never cruised with Carnival so we will see what he thinks.  I don't think he really cares much as long as he is out on the boat.  We tend to stick to Senior Frogs for drinking in Nassau but we are going to have the kids with us so maybe after the Atlantic waterpark we will take them back to the ship and put the little one in Camp Carnival and go to Senior Frogs...I think my 15 yr old would be OK to sit and watch, just not old enough to partake.

We have never been on a Carnival Cruise before, we have done Disney before so this will be a huge change for us. It will only be my wife and I on this cruise. We will be looking to meet and mingle with other adults.

Good Saturday morning everyone,  Hope everyone is feeling ok.  Right now my son is sick and I have a bad sore throat.  I forgot all about this site, I was only going on cruise critic.  Is there going to be a carnival forum meet and greet or is everyone just gonna go to the cruise critic meet and greet on the 24th in the Song Jazz Bar?  Oh and what is Senior Frogs?????  Sounds like an interesting name.  Oh I just realized something, today is Halloween, Happy Halloween everyone.  Ok back to business for those of you who have been to these ports before what are the best beaches to go and just lay in the sun and maybe do some snorkeling?  It has to be within walking distance or a quick bus/cab ride.  Does anyone know if flotation devices are allowed in the water in like Nassau or Freeport?  Do they have item's available to rent at the beaches?  Well gotta go for now.  Don't eat to much candy,  Jo

I have 2 kids, both girls.  Our youngest is actually the godchild of the waterpark on the Carnival Dream.  Senior Frogs is a GREAT time!  If you want to e-mail me you can click on my name next to my post and it will come up with send an e-mail, this way you don't have to post everything online.

Welcome aboard.  Disney is hard to beat but I can't justify the difference between them and the other lines to pay that much more.  Aside from the characters and maybe having a little better food, it is just too much for my budget.

You should enjoy Carnival, it is usually a good time!

I would imagine we should all just go to the one for cruise critic, can't see it makes much sense to do both.  Maybe you can post the info over here so anyone that isn't on cruise critic or wants to participate can.

That's a great idea.  Is anyone doing the NASA tour?  My husband and I are going and was wondering if anyone else will be there.

My parents are taking the NASA tour.  There were 2 to pick from, and they chose the one WITHOUT the iMax movie.  My Dad's comment was that he can see a movie about space at our local science museum ;)  So they are on the tour which takes you closer to the launch pads and such.

While they are on their tour, I will be doing an airboat ride with my son and brother.  Hopefully we will see the alligators - from what I hear they may be hibernating by then... Don't know if that is true.

Lisa, not sure if they will be hybernating or not but I know that the airboat rides themselves are a ton of fun...I am sure they will do everything they can to make sure you see something!

My girls aren't into space so they wouldn't do NASA.  Not even sure what we are going to do yet.  We rented a car and are going to go somewhere in Orlando, I was thinking Sea World, that I know we could do in the time we have.  Disney takes too long and we've done Universal but who knows, we may end up there because my kids LOVE the rides but hubby doesn't.  We'll see I guess.  It's only 21 days now...WOOHOO!

    Re: Thanksgiving DREAM - 11/23/2009

Good Tuesday morning everyone.  The flu has found us.  My son (16) has been sick since Friday with it.  His fever finally broke yesterday and he's starting to get his appitite back.  Poor baby lost 6 pounds, if only I could be that lucky.  I would probably gain weight with the flu.  The trees here are almost bare and things are starting to look dreary so I am so excited to see blue/green water and palm trees.  Carnival Dream take me away.  20 more days.  Look forward to meeting everyone.   JoAnne

I'm so sorry to hear that.Sad  I hope you all get it out of your system in the next 20 days.  I've warned everyone I have contact with that if I get sick for the cruise I will be mad.  I might start wearing a mask and gloves to work and public places!!!!

Joanne, I don't think I answered your question about rental on the beach.  If you are referring to jetskis and parasailing that have that avaiable on both islands.  We usually save this for Freeport as there is not as much to do there as there is in Nassau.

I have a can of Lysol on my desk and anytime someone walks by or sits down with me and they cough or sneeze I spray them...hope its not toxic!
