    Thanksgiving DREAM - 11/23/2009

    Hey everyone,

I just booked the Carnival Dream Thanksgiving Cruise for myself and my two boys.Cool  I live in New York so this cruise is perfect for me!  How guilty should I feel that the boys (will be 13 & 16 at cruise time) will miss 4 days of school?  I feel bad but we are still going!!!! LOLStick out tongue

    Anyone else booked?

My Husband and I are going to be going on that cruise.  Not booked yet, but the 23 is our 25 wedding Drinksanniversary and that is our gift to each other.... I hadn't realized it was thanksgiving LOL .  I should have being when we got married it was the day after thanksgiving.

as for feeling guilty NO way...... its good for the kids to see things, and what they miss they can make up. Wink

hope to see you there Paradise   Lori

Hi I'm not booked on this particular cruise but I am on the Dream in 2010.  I'm taking my 12 year old grandson with me and he will miss 1 full week of school.  I agree with Lori - the kids can catch up on their schooling.  Please don't feel guilty - you are giving those boys 'the trip of a lifetime' and thats exactly how I feel about my grandson.

I'm jealous to pieces you are going for your Thanksgiving - I have to wait another 18 months...lol     HAVE FUN!  Cool

    Hey everybody.

I didn't get a response to my post so I stopped checking.  Well I made a deal with my boys they have to go to school everyday including half days and the end of the school year.  I think 'Perfect Attendance' certificates will alleviate the guilt.  But we are still going I have already got the payment plan worked out.Gift

Has anyone seen any brochures advertising the dream.  I am only able to locate information on the Carnival website.

Hi - there wouldn't be any brochures yet because the ship is still being built.  The best you will do is here.  John Herald had just finished visiting the build and even provided a couple of videos.: http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_dream/default.aspx?shipCode=DR

    Enjoy!

I have been searching for a Carnival Cruise for Thanksgiving 2009.  We went on the Valor Thanksgiving 2007 and had a great time.  I cannot find the Dream cruise, where is it going and how did you find it?  I would appreciate any info you can give me.  Enjoy your cruise, we have been on Carnival twice and loved it.

We are also looking for a Thanksgiving cruise in 2009, who knows maybe it will be the same ship.  I don't think the Dream's up and running though until DEC 09.  Thanks Laurie

I found the information on the Carnival website.  There are two 8 - Day Bahamas sailings leaving from NYC (11/15 & 11/23) before the Dream relocates to Florida.

    Hi Crusers,

We are on the first sailing on the Dream from Florida, I though it might be a good idea to let you all know that if you wanting to spend time in Orlando before or after the cruise then have a look at my villa, check it out at www.villa2hire.com give me an e-mail and I will give you a better price than the posted one.

My family and I are also booked on the Dream for Thanksgiving week.  I can't wait to see this ship.  We have 2 girls (9 & 15 at time of sailing) and they are going to miss 4 days of school also...they will get over it...I want to sail this ship no matter what and I think this will be perfect since atleast they have a few days off for the holiday.  Does anyone have any of their shore plans yet?Cool
