Ok, we are ready and waiting for our wonderful 5th Carnval Cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor.  We have met some great people and now cruise every January with a couple we met on our first Carnival Cruise.  Anyone else going on this Eastern Carribean cruise?

So let me ask, why do you cruise in Jan?  Just wondering?  This is my first cruise in the winter months.  That's why I can't decide if I want to go in Jan. 2010 with the monkeyheads or April like I norally cruise!~  I went ahead and book the Dream for April, 2010, but may change my mind.  I was kinda waiting on my crusie coming up!~

WOW, I'm sure they have done some changing since you been on a cruise!~  This will be our 3rd cruise...2007, 2008 and now 2009 and also booked the Dream for 2010!~  I'm hooked!~  Look for me in my Monkeyhead T-Shirt!~  My screen name SeaCHell is on the back of my shirt!~  I love to meet new people.  Monkeyhead a drink, while it's really a cup you get your drink in.

My husband and I will be on the 1/24 Splendor Cruise.  We have a group of 34 people from WI and ND going.   It started as a group of 4 of us going but grew quickly to 34.  We have ages 29 to 72 going.  We are going to celebrate my 50th birthday!!

This will be my 5th cruise with Carnival.  I have had a great time with each of my trips with them.   

16 weeks left!!   Looking forward to meeting lots of new people on the ship.

We will be celebrating my mom's 56 Birthday!~  She has never cruised b/f, this is her gift from me!~  This will be my 3rd and we have already booked the Dream for our 4th cruise with Carnival!

Sea Chell..  I am going with a group of 6 on this cruise leaving 1/17/09, so you will be getting on as we get off!  I don't think anyone has answered your question yet about cruising in Jan.  We only go in Jan as well.  I can't answer for anyone else, but for us it's simple.  We live in Michigan and winter sucks!  January is a nice time in the middle of the winter to break it up and winter doesn't seem to last so long.  Plus in January the weather in the Caribbean is perfect.  80/85 degrees and sunny, no hurricanes, just beautiful sunshine!  We enjoy our summers where we live and have no desire to leave the nice weather for nice weather if that makes sense??  Hope it helps and enjoy your cruise!  100 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!~  We normally go in April, this is my first Jan. cruise.  I have kids, so I hope there are others on board.  I'm sure there's not too many kids in Jan.  But I know in April, I never see them, they are off to camp!  There ages are 10 and 12!  Our next one after Splendor is the Dream in April 2010![

Bernie...it's my parents anniversary as well that day, my mom turns 56 while on the cruise as well also my parents 1st cruise as well, it will be our 3rd.  Is your daughter young....like 11-13 years old?  My kids are traveling with us and they are 10 and 12!

we have kids going as well we have a 14, 13, 2 8yr olds, and 1 6 year old!!  Camp Carnival here they come,

 My daughter is 16. It's kinda cool that we cruise the day of our 10th anniversary because we never did get a honeymoon. I was thinking of getting our vows renewed but it cost too much, all I really wanted was for a quick 5 minute renewing but you have to buy the whole package.
