Hi!! New here from Ohio. My dh and I will be on the Destiny Nov 22 anyone else?? This is our first cruise---- soooooo excited!!!

Hi there!!! I am from Nashville TN. Me, my husband and daughter will be on this cruise. This is our second and I am probably just as excited as I was for the first. I am getting excited just by looking on this forum. Are you guys flying or driving?

We are looking so forward to this cruise!! Especially since it will be our first getaway w/out the little ones. We will be flying into Miami. Are you driving or flying?

We are going to drive. We are going to take our time and get there before the cruise. It is about a 13 hour drive. We will get there the night before. We are going to stay in Miami for 3 days after the cruise. My husband is from Miami, so this will be an extended vacation for us. I am so excited, but what is so funny is that my 10 year old has no idea that she is going. She is going to love Camp Carnival. She thinks that we are just going to Miami. We were going to try and leave her behind, but we felt bad because we are always going somewhere by ourselves. She is so sociabable that she will probably want to go to Camp Carnival whenever it is open. We are going to have to set some pretty tough ground rules for her and get walkie talkies, so we can make sure we are in touch on this big boat. Where are you guys staying on the boat. I just called the travel agency and upgraded to a oceanview. We were on a higher level, but we thought the oceanview might be nice after going through the virtual tour. Didn't want to spend the extra money, but you only live once. We will be on the main deck.

I wil be there my husband, my two boys, my mother, and my aunt. This is my third Cruise and I have a son that's 10. Your daughter is going to have a lot fun if she's a people person. I took my kids last years as while and they loved it. 

We are very excited. I think we look on this website everyday and nothing changes. Where are you guys coming from?

I'm from Chicago too far for me to drive. I'm flying into Miami on Nov. 20 because our airfare was cheaper to leave on Thurday but I want to check out Miami anyway. I hope to meet you all on the cruise. My room #6323 my name is Cherylene.

Where are you staying when you get into Miami. We will be at the Radisson in Ft lauderdale. We went through priceline.com. I love that website. We are in room 2281 and my mom is across the hall from us. We will have to make it a point to meet. I need this vacation so bad. We are going to stay in Miami a extra 3 days after the cruise, so that will be really nice. How many times have you cruised?

I'm going to use my timeshare and I will be making reservations this week, so I don't know where I'm staying yet. I used priceline last year and I had a nice hotel. This will be my third cruise. My familey and I went last April on Carnival Inspiration it was nice and we a lot of fun. I really need this vacation as while.

Since I put my first post on here we have add't people going. My mom and my sister. I am so ready to go. We were on elation Nov 06 for a 4 day cruise, so we continue  to expand the days. My daughter has been on a 12 day cruise to Alaska with my mom and my other sister. My mom and my other sister are just coming back from a 12 day cruise to Greece. I was so jealous. They are always traveling somewhere. It has been awhile since we even took a weekend vacation, so this is well needed. I had to tell my mom not to expect me to be on a schedule because her feelings will be hurt 47 days and counting till we sail.......Are you doing any excursions?

I'm going do a excursion but I'm not going to know until I get there. I've been on Carnival cruise website almost everyday. I just called Carnival you might want to asked them about upgrades because I just recevied a credit. My family and I go on vaction every year. My room number changed.

Hi everyone!  So glad to have found you!

I usually hang out on cruise critic dot com and haven't found but one of you on the roll calls there!  Didn't even know there were boards here to meet any of you!

 Cherylene, whereabouts in Chicago?  I was raised in Antioch (north burb) and then lived for 13 years in the south burbs.  We moved 5 years ago, but go back often.

 We're staying at the Hilton (I have status with Hilton so we can stay free).  This is our 2nd cruise--our first was just in September.  We had vacation we needed to use so this is the best value for the dollar.  Plus being somewhere warm, sunny, and blue will be wonderful, won't it?

 I hope to get to know you over the coming weeks.  We're so appreciative that we get to cruise again so soon!

I am so excited that you guys have responded. I am counting down the days with butterflies in my stomach. I need to do some work, but these boards are addictive. This is also our second cruise. My husband and I daydream about being there everyday. We need a vacation, BAD!!! I have been reading the posts about life on Destiny after the dry dock and there have been good and bad reviews, but I don't even care. I am just ready to be on the big blue sea doing NOTHING!!! We are staying in Miami 3 days after we get off the boat and I am glad of that as well. I need to get your status with the HIlton, other than my cousin working for them and getting the family rate, which you come out better on priceline. We will be staying at Don Shula's after we get off the boat. Oh I am so excited. I can't wait to meet you guys. I am also on cruise critic and found the roll call last night. I should be on there.

Tayla, nice to meet you too!

We're staying until Friday.  We'll leave Friday morning so we get home at a decent time and still have a bit o' vacation left at the end of the cruise.

 We really should be intentional about planning some sort of meet and greet.  The Cruise Critic folks had one on my last cruise and it was nice to have a drink and get to know one another.  One couple hung out with us a little bit every day--it was great.

Don't let the bad reviews spoil your anticipation.  I've decided that I'm on a cruise ship and no matter what--we're ON VACATION.  We had no intention of cruising so soon again but we couldn't pass it up.

I subscribed to this so I don't miss anyone's posts.  :)
