I am just curious.....I see a lot of posts where people think the ship (all of them, not just the Sensation) is dirty and the complaints about the cleanliness of the ships. However, no one ever specifies just what it is that is dirty or unclean. I have been on several cruises (not just carnival) and I have yet to see what I consider "unclean". I have seen normal wear and tear, but nothing that constitutes uncleanliness. What are you people expecting when you say it is unclean?? I sweep my floors everyday at home and vacuum once or twice a week as well as dust, etc. Does that mean my home is unclean?? I am just curious as to what people really mean when it is unclean..
In my experience, the Captain or other high ranking ship officers set the tone of the ship. I was on the Triumph and considered it to be dirty, dust and large pieces of trash on the floors and hallways. I never saw the Captain or anyone else concerned with the state of the ship.
I was on one of the last sailings of the Tropicale, and the Captain was constantly checking the cleanliness of the ship. It was very clean and maintained.
Uncleanliness is in the eye of the beholder, but little things can certainly be noticed by guests. In my case, trash on the floor for several hours at a time along with dust everywhere, did not ruin my cruise but it was certainly noticable.
