    We are definately going to Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios.  We are traveling with a group of at least 10.  I say that because we have others who are not booked, but saying they will be going as well.  We have been to Montego Bay and Negril, but never Ocho Rios.  We have also been to Key West, both by cruise and our own vacation driving in the keys.  The trolley is a good way to sample and see most of Key West.  We have snorkeled in Key West too.  Our group is all around 50.  My husband and I are both 51.  We are all from the midwest.  We are still trying to decide if we'll fly or drive.  None of us are taking our kids.

     Glad to hear from you.  I just found this forum a couple of days ago.  As time passes, maybe we will meet others, and can play a meeting during the cruise!

    hi, nice to hear from you, we are trying to get a group to do the dunn river falls tour not thru carnival the name is orville taylor tours, he has a web sight. we would do the falls, water tubes and a tour of jamaica, for a group of 20 its about 20.00, my friend has taken this tour 2 times and loved it, if this sounds good let me know or if not we could always go thru carnival. my daughter says she would love to meet your daughter my daughter brianna loves to swim and do the water slides on the ship maybe they could hang out together, we are flying into lauderdale on the 10th of jan. and staying at the rodeway inn.hope to hear from you soon.      gino

    Have you snorkeled at Grand Cayman Island at all?  Not sure if we want to snorkel at Key West or Grand Cayman.  Any ideas?

    I know Carnival doesn't endorse using outside tour operators, but we have had great success at cheaper prices doing this very same thing.  I want to check about this tour that you are looking at.  We might very well be interested!  Thanks for the info.

    Here is a suggestion....snorkeling in both places would be great.  However, Grand Cayman will definately be warmer than Key West.  Not that it will be cold, just cooler.  We have snorkeled in Key West 2 times and it was fantastic!  But it was also in the summer.  Also, you could do both!!!

    Hi;

    My hubby and I are going to go on this same cruise, same date.  Our 20 yr old daughter and her BF are also going.  None of us have cruised before~well her BF has.  I am excited.  We use to live in Ft. Laud and have been to Key West.  It is alot of fun.  Do you mind me asking you what you paid for your trip per person?  I am requesting a balcony room because they are apparently running a "special"  I am always apprehensive about these so called specials.  I think he quoted me $743 per person NOT including ins which I would get.  We would love to do excusions and meet others for sure especially other MidWest folks.  We live in MI near Ann Arbor.  Our son lives in Lauderdale so we will be flying in earlier to see him.

     My advice to you is to fly if you can afford it.  The drive is gruesome (I think).  Any info, suggestions or other you have is welcomed.

    Sue

    hi sue, i just looked on carnival's websight and the price for a balcanoy was $ 839.00 so you got a good deal, we paid $529.00 for a outside cabin but we booked in march, we are flying to lauderdale from pittsburgh on jan. 10th and staying at the rodeway inn. we are from ohio, GO BUCKEYES,  what is there to do in key west, its always to do excursions with other people, that would be great. we have been to the caymen islands and jamiaca before and enjoyed them both. hope to hear from you soon.    gino

    sorry, I'm a P.E. teacher, and we are back in the full swing.  My husband just got back from a fishing trip in Yellowstone, and again, I've been away from the computer pretty much.  It is fun to get to know each other.  Friends of ours just booked this same trip, so we are definately up to 10 people in our immediate group.  I'm pretty sure there is at least one other couple going.  I agree, it is fun to get to know people before a cruise, and then try to meet.  Hopefully, we can do that.  Is anyone else interested?
