Re: best time to check in

When I went in Nov. of 06 we checked in around 12:30 and we should of gone sooner for the parking lot was already getting full.  Next time I plan on being there around 11:00.  I am not sure if both ships are there at the same time or not...but I doubt it.

    Enjoy!

Some have said as early as 1030. We are doing the shuttle not sure what time it leaves the hotel. But if you look on here and cruise critic there are alot of post on when the best time is.

I would tell you that the line begins to back up into the main roadway around 10am, so if you don't mind waiting in the lobby before boarding, go early. We live about 40 miles from the port, Carnival will let you board by 11am and you can have lunch on the ship.It would give you some time to learn the ships decks and just kick back. Have a good cruise.

Re: best time to check in

Parking has gone up a little since November.  I would still park in the garage though that way I would know that my car was being taken care of...plus that means that someone can load my luggage for me...LOL

We are going to be pushing it to get to Mobile and checked in by 2:30 and was wondering if traffice is real bad at the last minute and if we are waiting in line to get on board from 2:30-4:00 is the boat going to cancel our reservations or leave?  One of our traveling buddies doesn't get off work until 6 that morning and it is at least a 6 hour drive for us. Help!!!

As long as there are people in line, the ship will not leave them there.  Especially not Carnival!  I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Re: best time to check in

I just got off the Holiday this morning actually. We got to the parking garage about 11:40.. there was no line. They got our bags (we did have to wait on the people in front of us because they had a LOT of luggage). When paying for the parking, I suggest paying with a credit/debit card. There was nobody in that line, and the cash line had quite a few people waiting. We parked on the 3rd level by the doors and just had to wait in line once we got inside.. but it wasnt bad. It was moving at a good pace. They didnt let anyone on untill 11:30, but we were there about 30 minutes after that anyway.
