Are you allowed to pack alcohol and bring it on ship. Its my friends b-day while on the ship and I want to buy her a bottle of patron and give it to her on the ship.

You are not allowed to bring alcohol onto the ship.   You are only allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine per person that is 21 or older.

You CAN call the Bon voyage department and order a bottle delivered to (over age 21) stateroom $40 - $60 per bottle, but they may not have Patron.  ken

You are not allowed to bring alcohol on the ship. That doesn't mean you can't. Seal it up tightly and pack it in the middle of your checked luggage (for cushioning). There is always the possibility of breakage so this not something I personally practice but I know plenty that have done this successfully. The only drawback is you would have to go to your room to make a drink.

I don't know what Patron is, but I called the Bon Voyage dept to see about getting a bottle of Disaronno delivered and was advised that you can only order wine. If there is another way of ordering liquor, please advise. Thanks

There was a post on here some time ago from Carnival Stephanie indicating that you can order liquor from Bon Voyage and giving a contact numer. If SEARCH works, maybe you can find it?  Ken

I think it depends when you book your cruise. If the ship is fairly empty when you book, you can get rooms together.  There are other times, we are all over the ship, which doesn't matter to us.  There was one cruise, we got no upgrades, on all the others, we have gotten anywhere from one deck to six deck upgrades, I guess it is the luck of the draw and we are VIP members.  We have also gotten upgraded to an outside cabin twice.  Good luck and enjoy your cruise.

you can however bring alcohol on the ship from a port to be stored until you get off right?

I called for my last cruise and had a bottle of vodka in my cabin when I arrived. It wasn't cheap and $$$ varies depending on what you want but that was in march so unless they have stopped doing it, I would just call back and try again.

Ketel One - $60
Smirnoff Vodka - $60
Bacardi Rum - $40
Irish Cream (some other brand besides Baily's). The price was mid $30's.
