Hi Mainstreet. DH & I will be onboard, too. After we cruised our first time on the Miracle, we were hooked. If you are like us, you are going to LOVE it! We are from PA and will be flying into Ft. Lauderdale the day before.

You may also want to check out some of the other cruise websites as there are other roll calls going on for this cruise, too. Hopefully, we'll be able to arrange an on-board meet-n-greet.

Hey, Hey!!! I see there are going to be more than a few of us 'BC'ers"...we are Fraser Valley area! We fly out of Seattle to Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise.

My hubby and I are on this one too! Anybody that has never cruised before....trust me the 'bug' will get you..LOL. This is our first with Carnival. We too, are part of the 'large group'. We have done NCL 2X, once to Bahamas in '06 and last year the Mexican Riviera.

    Looking forward to meeting everybody!

    Hi,

My husband and I will be cruising on the Freedom 12/6.  This will be our 3rd cruise with Carnival and looking forward to it.  We will be early dining.  Sounds like you are a young couple.  We are married 39 years.  Sort of our honeymoon with no kids or grandkids.  If I can answer any questions, I will try.  bring lots  of shorts and casual attire.  Captains dinner is dress nicely...many wear evening dresses and suits and ties.  Lots of photos being taken all the time and you can purchase any, all or none of them.  You don't have to book shore excursions on line.  Sometimes excursions are not shown on line, but you hear about them on the boat.  You don't have to buy into an excursion.  Just go and have fun...you won't want to leave at the end.

    Hi Linda,

I am the other half of mainstreet...lol...

We are flying in the day before too....not sure of the hotel or flights yet either.

Gord and I are pretty excited, our first trip without either of our kids between the two of us we have three teenagers.  We are looking forward to kicking back and having fun, being big kids ourselves., We both are night people and love to dance so it looks like this trip will be perfect for us.  I have cruised a few times before with Holland America and it was really nice but just a bit on the too relaxing side for me.  We are still in our thirties...well I am still...gord not so much...lol.

Anyhow hope to meet up with ya guys.

Hi Gottagetaway, I missed your post that you were going to be onboard with us. Welcome! Will you & your group be flying in the day before, too? We will all have a blast.

Mel, you will love all the fun, dancing & onboard "parties" of all sorts. We've had Mardi Gras' and Toga parties with dancing on the Lido deck by the pool and in the various clubs.

Linda, We booked a guarantee cabin & so far do not know where we will be. Final payment is due soon so it will be awhile. We are hoping the upgrade fairy will be good to us, but that has only happened once & that was on our 1st cruise on the Miracle. I absolutely love a balcony cabin. There's nothing like sitting out on the balcony seeing the sun rise with a cup of coffee and a breakfast snack through room service. It is soooo relaxing. We order room service early every morning and then go to the dining room for breakfast. Not to say we don't eat on the Lido deck but I like the extra special attention of personally being served (and the food is a little better, I think).

    Hi luv2cruise,

We have our assigned cabin on the Upper Deck Room 6416.  Upgraded from a balcony on a lower deck to the one we now have.  Our first cruise was on the Miracle with my sister and her husband.  Our 2nd was with our oldest daughter (37) on an older ship the Inspiration.  This time it is just the 2 of us celebrating our 39th anniversary and also my husband surviving Prostate Cancer.  We are going to have a GREAT time. Just the 2 of us.  We have never had room service done on any of our cruises, but it sounds like fun to just sit and enjoy coffee and a snack watching the sunrise...will have to try it.  Let us know where you will be both in Ft. Lauderdale and onboard so we can get together.

    Keep in touch

    Blessings,

    Linda

    Hi all,

We are flying into Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise as well. It just alleviates the stress of delayed flights, etc for me. This is our first cruise with Carnival and our first balcony cabin. I will definitely look forward to a nice cup of java watching the sun come up, and hopefully many other sights of any glimpse of dolphins, whales, etc! We are a guaranteed 8A, so do not have our cabin # as of yet, although we are all paid up. If we got an upgrade, it would be fantastic, but I am just happy at the thought of experiencing a balcony this time. We have done inside and outside (with porthole) on previous cruises.

We too enjoy the night life and dancing. We are early 40's (but where appropriate can act like a couple of kids....LOL). We love to snorkel, but have not decided on any excursions yet. Our daughter is getting married at the end of October, so once that is behind us, we will be able to concentrate better on that sort of thing.

We look forward to meeting many new faces!
